It was a decent performance for a first pre season game especially defensively. Kevin Moyo was very good and is going to be a real handfull for any team. Crowd was ok for a one off game at Oaklands. TBH the Team USA White team did not look particularly strong but difficult to tell seeing as this was our first game.

How does the USA select thing work? Are they students or are they selected from various colleges in the US? Who manages them etc?
Was tempted by the Riders game.

I think they pay to tour and play basketball in Europe with the hope they will get scouted and offered a pro deal somewhere I think they normally have 2 teams A first and second team But looks like they've got 3 teams this year |

They've had 3 teams for at least 3 years. Arguably they'd be better with 2 - quality rather than quantity - but they get enough games
Ultimately they're a decent pre season run out without any major costs attached. As long as their players look upon it as an experience - rather than really looking for a job - everyone's happy

Leopards lost 71-62 to the Blue team this afternoon at the Brentwood Centre. Definitely a lot stronger squad than the White tam we beat on Friday.

Three days max. Now it's a month, and he has to go back to the states |

I just think they play too much i no why they do it but say i dunno for arguemnts sake leeds have an import slot if youve played 10 games in say 16 days are you really going to be in condition to take advantage of this opportunity?

I can't remember the last time a bbl player signed a player after seeing him play for team usa but unless they were going to sign him on a short term deal he would have to return to the states, so it's really not an issue

Derbyshire (then Sheffield) Arrows had initially recruited him and another few players in the past (Tyler Ousley stands out from memory) from the USA Select Team, and he then did a stint at Worthing before moving to Sheffield if memory serves me correctly.
Patton was formidable withMike Cook in the back court in that first year at Sheffield.
