Until we beat them away at the end of the season I'd have said Royals, now, who knows?

I'd say it's better than being up against the Lions given our record this season but perhaps the 2 most unpredictable teams in the league

I think Royals are suited to the playoffs. Capable of raising themselves to a higher level for big games.
Very tough match up for sharks.

I very much agree with you. Raise themselves or lazy in the league. On the alleged money some earn that would piss me off as a fan.

I was at the Sharks win at CP and reckon that loss will serve Royals well over this tie.
Expecting a home win in both legs. If LCR find their groove on Saturday it will be curtains for Sheffield but if they can find a way of shutting them down (again), it will be tough.
I’d say a lot hinges on Washpun and whether he is fit to play.
I’d like to see Royals at the O2. I’ve enjoyed watching them this season and know they have big plans ahead for next season. Being the sole London representative in the PO final would be a bold step in the right direction, even if they do get a lot of flak on here...

It'd certainly be interesting if we got to a position where two London teams ended up sharing all the trophies.

It'd certainly be interesting if we got to a position where two London teams ended up sharing all the trophies. It would. And I don’t think I’d like it. If Royals win 2 titles in their inaugural season, when it’s taken decades for Lions to do the same, it sort of diminishes our achievement a bit! Having said that, I’d be happy for anyone other than Riders to win the Play-Offs. So I’m sort of conflicted with this semi-final match up… I’d like to see Sharks win, but equally I know that if Riders get through to the final then Royals probably have the best chance of any remaining team beating Riders. So if Riders beat Raiders on Sunday then I hope Royals beat Sharks. But if Raiders beat Riders then I hope Sharks beat Royals. Does that make sense? No, I thought not.

I think you’re our first fully pledged London City Royals supporter on here, so welcome! Being completely honest, they probably do get too much flak on here. We shouldn’t forget this is their inaugural season, not just in the BBL, but in existence. And yes, they’ve made some mistakes but they’ve performed well above what you’d probably expect for a team/franchise in their position. I certainly think they’ve got a chance of adding the Play-Off title to their first season’s trophy cabinet… personally whether I want them to succeed in doing that depends on who they’re playing. I’ll be watching on with interest, and mixed emotions.

I think some of the flak is because we're often miserable old sh1ts set in our insular BBL ways. A different way of doing things has shaken things up a bit!

For me it was the attitude of "stand aside tried and tested league we're going to completely blow everyone's mind" and then failing to do just that.
If they were a little bit more humble then I reckon they'd be celebrated.
For me if they're still here in 5 years I'll start to believe.

Hmmmm Sharks have uglied the game up in the 2nd quarter which suits them but the offense has gone AWOL. If Royals get two feet in the paint it's a bucket or offensive rebound and bucket.

Leaving myself wide open for an INF insult here! The thing is both lions and eagles made the mistake of winning by too many points in the first leg They made a cardinal error of NOT giving their opponents a false sense of security

Enjoyed watching that game. If Sharks could control the boards a bit better than they would have won probably.
Really enjoying being able to watch the games on youtube.
In terms of the Royals, their wee clapping routine annoys me so much! Apparently three of their players combined earn more than the whole of the Glasgow Rocks team this season

I have to moan !! Contact under boards only called one way, Marsden lasts 16 minutes Not being allowed to box out gave up rebounds, accept Royals more athletic but they were allowed to be 1st foul in last qtr (According to commentator) for Royals called with 1:36 left in game Williams sits for whole of second qtr and I wonder why Good job Lyons, go into second leg with a good platform and game plan
