So the last player is going to be Fab or Jamal? Who would you prefer? Even though you may not like Jamal as a player - Fab committing to focus 100 per cent on coaching may not be a bad thing? You just want us to sign Jamal, given a choice between the two of them it’s a no brainer, Fab all day. Though I agree would like to see Fab concentrating more on coaching than playing, if it means he has to play to stop us signing Jamal then please let Fab play, I beg you. On the other hand, say Fab isn’t going to play why do we have to sign Jamal. I would rather sign a young local player from the Academy to fill the last spot. Someone who’s hungry and wants to prove themselves 🙏🏼 The young lad wouldn't get any minutes at Eagles

Jamal won’t even get that many minutes if the players we have signed live up to expectations why would we need to play him much. So would be a wast of a signing and there is so much better out there. If he’s the best we can find to fill the last spot there is a problem.

If he’s the best we can find to fill the last spot there is a problem. Eddie and Thambu are the last spots arent they? With Fab just ahead of them? Lasker and Kai Williams ahead of Fab It’s Themba not Thambu, and yes technically they are the last spots in meaning they are usually the last ones to get on court. But we’re talking about who is going to take the last spot(s) available and whether Fab is playing this season or not. If he is then we have a roster currently of 11 with one more spot available, which is likely to be filled by Kai Williams. But if Fab wasn’t playing could it be possible that Jamal was taking one of the last two spots as he is in Newcastle now. Personally I would rather play Eddie and Themba ahead of Jamal any day so was just saying give someone like Eddie more court time. Surely his development is more important than a player that’s almost done if not done already in his career and if your basing it on their performances last season who is more worthy.

PG: Fletcher/Lasker/Themba SG: Glasgow/Schlitzer/Matthew SF: Morsell/Williams PF: Hussein/Fab C: Mitchell/Defoe
I'd say there's a fair bit of depth there. Glasgow can also play PG and Morsell/Schlitzer can play the 2 or 3. Morsell probably the 4 too. Not a bad recruitment drive on paper.

So that's your lot I guess Fab will be available to play when needed I personally think Eagles will be better than last couple of seasons But not strong enough to win the League They've improved the balance of their squad

How do you know?
Lions are already worse for not having Peel (edit - sorry not Peel - Tabb!!!!) and signing Allen Jordan as far as I'm concerned.
Fully expect Robinson to resign there and Soko which gives them a good start I guess, but still an awful lot of question marks.
I'm still not convinced by Riders. Whats going on with the new yank? Is he or isn't he?

Robinson was announced last week Bigz. Certainly a good starting point for Lions.

With Riders if the new Yank isn't happening there will be another one just as good or better coming along Other than that I think we've put an exciting squad together Would have preferred if we could have kept Tim Williams and/or Holder as part of the squad But not to be

Eagles roster looking good. Whether its the 10 plus fab there going 8/9 deep. Injuries in recent years have cost them but this line up looks versatile

Providing they're not as fragile as Vic was...

It's a definite improvement. Don't forget we didn't have a terrible season last year, our dips in form coincided with Defoe and Moses injuries, leaving us wide open defensively, unable to win rebounds and backup players like Jamal and Fab becoming starters. Will we be good enough to get the better of Lions and Riders? Time will tell. I know Lions have lost a few good players but Soko should be pretty formidable at this level, should rumours be true.

It's those 3 or 4 games you lose due to injuries that will always cost the League though You need a squad that can cope with injuries nowadays. And looks like you've got one

It's going to be interesting and exciting to see these guys gel and see what they are capable of. IMO it's the most exciting Eagles line up since we last did the sweep (Fletcher, Andre Jones, Scott Martin, Charles Smith and Andy Thompson.)

I mean, how many did you go through last season that weren't that good/didn't fit?
I'm not really that sure of what makes Riders squad more or less exciting than Eagles if I'm honest, save for Walker having done it in this league before and Eagles having an unknown quantity (albeit with good credentials).

So IRF scores Eagle signings but neglects Riders ? Surely we need to see both sets of scores to see how jealous he really is, and see which Eagles signings if any reach Nimley status and become IRF/INF's newest middle initial ? I would have scored Nimley an 8 when he signed. I was actually worried about him - hence why I tried to create doubt I will do a Riders v Eagles score once they sign a few players OK Eagles recruitment is finished so welcome back Kai and let's have some Riders/Eagles scores INF - Mo Walker and Rahmon on 9 and Mitchell on 7 so far I believe......

It's also about being able to change the on-court dynamics when the coach has to respond to what the opponents are doing. Having depth enables that.
