I worked along side the lady doing the photography and video for the Rocks on Friday. Can only speak as I find but she was extremely dedicated, talented and hard working (showed me some super footage she'd shot). So not sure what is going on there?

Unfortunately she isn’t transferring these skills to the majority of our social media presence. We could have the best photos in the league but if posts are riddled with errors, mistakes etc then it’s very hard to look past that sadly. |

Have you volunteered to help? There is no chance I would volunteer to do someone’s work when they have been hired as the professional. There’s certainly been ideas bounced around but I’m not meant to be an expert in that field and so no, I have not and will not be volunteering. After co- running the Rocks Supporters Club for a few years Im certainly enjoying the spare time I once again have. |

The Rocks can have all the good photos and videos there is but when they are using them alongside a caption that says "we may of lost but we looked good doing it" then they could have Steven Spielberg making the videos and Sebastiao Salgado doing the photography and it wouldn't make a difference as to how bad the social media is. |

However what I do know is that basketball in this country relies heavily on people offering their help where they're able to and there's a need. It just seems there's an opportunity here to help fill a gap, rather than complain about how someone else is doing it. Just my two cents.. Its probably best not to work for free with a company that is quite happy to take Donald Trump money. I know it wouldn't be me anyway. |

I'm unsure if you mean people should volunteer to take on the role that someone is currently contracted to and paid for on the basis it is their profession? If so then we will agree to disagree with that one.
If we had fans volunteering to do the club's social media, photography, videography, design work, website etc then that would be a complete cluster****. Sure fans can volunteer to help sell merch etc on gamedays, but this issue is entirely different.
An opportunity to fill a gap? Sure, but it needs filled by someone who cares about their work, is good at what they do and is able to provide a polished, finished and professional product. If my work was of poor quality in my job then I would be pulled up for it. This shouldn't be any different. The fact that the club recognise it is bad perhaps shows I'm not just "complaining how someone else is doing it" for the sake of it. There is a genuine dissatisfaction with Rocks fans, not just me.
I've filled many other gaps over the years with the club thanks.

If you guys don't want to/can't offer to help then no problem. Just a suggestion. |

But I've never really agreed with "if you don't like how it's being done, do it yourself", especially when it's a paid job. I think Boris Johnson is doing a f'cking terrible job, but that doesn't mean I should stand in the inevitable General Election we'll soon be having.
Just because someone can take a decent pic, doesn't mean they can do all of the social media. There's very little of interest on Rocks' website aside from corporate stuff. They promote themselves as a professional basketball club, they need to be more professional,
