Especially if we are at full strength - will Morsell be back ?

Both teams have the potential and the players to win this one. For me it could go either way. Might go down to the rims and whose shots drops.
We've shown that we've got the character and toughness once, let's show that we've got the ability and skill.
Still got N'Diaye to get game fit and play more minutes. Hopeful of a replacement for Sedale too, which will give us more options as well as giving the guards a rest.

Can hardly hear the commentary, the sound from the stadium commentator is louder than the stream commentary.

2nd quarter not much better for Eagles - Defence and 3pt shooting has gone AWOL, while Morsell/Defoe outscore the entire starting five. Come on Ian - inspire a 3rd quarter wake up !

Difficult to fault the sharks at the moment.
Be nice if we had 1 more player off the bench who can make an impact.
Really enjoying the needle between the 2 teams tonight.

Tremendous performance from the Sharks. I have criticised Lyons before and may well do again but we are playijng fantastic at the moment. Eagles fans will say they did not turn up and yes they were poor but a lot of credit needs to go to the home team. They were hungrier, faster, moved the ball well, played so unselfish (unlike Fletcher pounding the ball constantly) and shot really well. What impressed me so much was the defence. The two guards were right in the Eagles players mugs all game and never gave them a moment. Cashaw too can play good man to man defence. We got so many steals, conbasketball kited the boards, scored so many off turnovers and just played unselfish ball. 31 assists to 16 for the two teams tells a story.
It was an annihilation really. The intenisty and team play from both teams were night and day.
For the Sharks their best player this season Koch barely played due to foul trouble and form of the others.
McKnight and 20 pts and 12 assists. Lewis had 19 (3 treys), 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Marsden solid especially 1st half and had 12 pts, 6 rebs and 6 assists, 3 steals too. Cashaw had 12 pts and looks like he could get even better. Even the old man Mike Tuck lit it up - 22 pts, 5 rebs and 3 steals. We may only have 7 players - Ndiaye barely played either and still a way off match fitness but those players all played their part. Backovic played 9 mins too much (0-4 with an air ball and one off the back board).
For the Eagles - no Glasgow (passport still not sorted to allow him and Morsell to both play?) and if Defoe had not played and played well - this could have been a 35 point win at least - it was that one sided. Fletcher had a few moments but plays too much hero ball for me. Mitchell and Morsell were quiet-ish and defensively both do not concentrate enougha and lose their men.
I am not sure that Eagles team is getting close to any honours unless they make some changes. Granted Glasgow will come back but they lack the star quality of Eagles teams of the past - Defoe and LAsker still 2 of their best players which says it all.
Sharks have really started the season impressively. Koch is excellent, Cashaw improving and Tuck/Marsden still doing it. If we can get more from Ndiaye and sign another guard to spell the two we have then we should be a top 4-5 team and a chance of a cup. Did not think that would happen so they are proving me wrong. We have to keep it up though adn concerned if McKnight and LEwis can keep this level of intensity up. they have both been sensational. In a weird way without Alexander and Williams, we have seen a McKnight I was not even sure was there. Those two have been arguably the best backcourt in the league this season. That to me is a huge surprise.

Sharkball has summed things up horribly well - just not enough teamwork which Ian McLeod needs to put right before Riders come to the ECA next Friday.

Blimey - what a performance by Sharks
First half was excellent. Ball movement, shooting, hands in passing lanes, fast breaks, defense - the Sharks put in a complete performance that Eagles just couldn’t cope with.
Second half was a bit more scrappy but Sharks were always in control.
Credit to Atiba - he’s got the main 6 guys playing really well. Arguably none of them superstars (even at BBL level) but currently it just works.
For me McKnight is the star of the show. His energy and enthusiasm is infectious he’s almost unrecognisable from the ineffective, inconsistent player that was quite rightly not brought back after his first season.
Long may it continue.
As good as Sharks were, Eagles were just as poor. Very little teamwork, poor effort on defense and no real impact from the Coach. Is McLeod the man to follow the man?

Don't feel that I need to say much, so I'm not.
Let the players do the talking.
Incidentally good result for Nix tonight. Looking forward to meeting them on Sunday.

Another excellent win for the Sharks, as I expected when Atiba shortens his rotation good things happen We do need another player though Backovic is ok in last few minutes when we are 20 up but never ever when its close, woeful tonight
