Think it’s Riders first visit to ECA, might even stir INF from his slumber 🤣

Can't see Eagles playing as poorly as they did recently. Think we'll be better than we were against them earlier this season. Should be a good game.

Not just a good game but effectively a knock out quarter final for the cup. If Ian can’t get the Eagles up for this our season will look bleak

If Ian can’t get the Eagles up for this our season will look bleak Games between our two clubs are often close fought affairs and each team tends to raise their game - wasn't true of Riders last meeting! Hoping for a different outcome this weekend.

They have a 5-2 record.. unless I have missed something? Leicester will be fine - only question will be if they top the group or finish 2nd. With Cheshire having 2 home games left against Giants and Rocks, you'd expect them to finish 5-5 or hopefully 6-4. Can't see the top 4 changing now in the North, but think Cheshire and Newcastle would both rather finish 3rd and avoid the Royals in the 1/4 finals. On that basis...........come on Leicester!

Does that last comment mean the quarter finals are seeded? Wasn't sure if it was that or open draw? In that case hope ( they could ) finish 6/4 therefore in the next round but all depends on the other results. I'll have to sit and go over all the permutations before I sit in front on YouTube and shout for the correct team!!

Apologies I thought it was top 2 from each group into the semis, but it will still be our biggest game of the season so far

Second half we stopped them scoring and our key players did a very good job. Still room for improvement because too many turnovers. Nevertheless, this was a very satisfying win. Nelson-Henry is deceptively effective in the low post. Moreover, he can capitalise on Cartwright's excellent assists.

Last three quarters we held them to 16 16 and 12.
Good defence!

Well, this Eagles team isn’t going to win a thing this year unless they either sort out Rodney Glasgow’s eligibility issues or sign an additional 2 guard of starter quality.
Leicester much improved with their new big man compared with the previous game between the two sides. But still beatable, admittedly without JWH. Glad that Cartwright fit again and great to see him in the flesh - quality player.
Eagles..........all about poor execution (how many missed open shots and lay ups?) and not convinced about defensive cohesion (Mitchell needs to concentrate). And poor decisions in the last 5 mins when several players looked knackered. Fletch had a poor game but one of the reasons he ran riot in Leicester last time was that they couldn’t double team him with RG on court.....last night they could.
Needs sorting.
On the plus side, over 200 in the corporate hospitality suite last night, which must be producing sufficient cash to invest in the team in years ahead.

With him and Fletcher on court at the same time it proved very difficult for us to shut both down. One of the differences between last night and the game at Leicester is the resurgence of Chuku who was still recovering from a hip injury at that time. I'm really impressed we managed to sign him because he is a quality player.

Agree with Baldeagle - Cartwright and NH? consistently winning battles with RF and JM respectively, and a feeling throughout the game despite close scores that Eagles would lose it down the stretch. More clinical finishing please Ian !!

Keeping Eagles to less than 70 on their home court is a Riders' speciality.

I'm also a big fan of Namon Wright who seems to put in a very good performance every week yet still manages to be beneath everyone's radar. He is great to watch and scores freely if given even half a chance. Morsell was good for Eagles - he can shoot the three alright.

Maybe Eagles should change their half time routine. Last 2 home games they have blown a half time lead with an immediate 10+ - nil tear for the visitors. Suggests that something is wrong with the prep for Q3?
