Based on what we've seen so far my bet would be Sharks to take the league title. They seem the most balanced and talented team. All others appear too inconsistent.

From what I've seen at the ECA I can't disagree with that at all. They certainly pass the eye test, and look like a very well put together team. My only worry for them would be how injuries could affect their season, they run a very compact rotation. Every other team I've seen have looked beatable up here even in the games we've lost.
Having said that, it feels like I've only seen 4-5 BBL teams up here this season due to the way the season has panned out. I'm looking forward to seeing some other teams play at the ECA, but will have to wait as I'm pretty sure we don't play a southern team at home till February.

I bet on Riders to turn some players over and win the league.
Sharks, Lions, wolves, eagles even Nix and Rocks battling to be up there but all losing plenty of games amongst each other
Every team can beat each other. The teams other than Riders won't improve like we will.
IMO
Ps that's not rose tinted glasses. It's my honest opinion. We will come good and the rest of the league are going to lose lots of matches to each other. Sharks will get injuries to key players and the squad won't cope.
If there was a strong squad out there to fear I might feel different. There isn't one this season.

Sharks roster isn't deep enough for me but their starting 5 plus Tuck off the bench is as good as anyone in the league at the moment. It's so open this season, I don't think any team looks especially strong, yet.

God knows is there one team that actually looks that good?
At a punt I’m going eagles with rocks as my outside bet

Can we throw Worcesters hat in the ring as contenders? I think we can if they can find the consistency surely?

I think it could genuinely be any one of Sharks, Wolves, Royals, Riders, Lions or even Phoenix as an outside bet!

I think it could genuinely be any one of Sharks, Wolves, Royals, Riders, Lions or even Phoenix as an outside bet! Well that narrows it down a bit. No mention of Eagles there? Think that with the Gettys/ Fletcher link there is certainly a better chance than before and they are probably a better bet than Royals or Lions given their uncertainties. Agree with Phoenix, capable of beating the rest but equally capable of losing to the rest. Wolves look good but against Pnoenix the other night looked ordinary without either Williams available. So basically any one of half a dozen teams, is that a overall downgrading of the league quality or the two recent standout teams being caught up by some of the others? Some quality players playing this year just no team full of them!!!

Lions and Riders are significantly worse imo Wolves were always going to be better. Gardner is a significant upgrade at Royals. What a pity they made such a mess of last year. You’ve picked up a very good bbl guard who was your point last year? Was it Norl. There’s ebbs and swings imo. We all know Riders will come good again pretty quickly due to the strength and leadership of the organisation. Does Ovie compensate for the loss of Tabb, Spencer and the Bristol? No.
Interesting debate in Makhem Takhem regarding the different set ups, cultures of the bbl and div 1 teams. There’s an argument that the better div 1 set iOS are more enticing to a spectator than the bbl teams.

Think it will all come down to injuries. At the moment the Sharks are looking very good and if they can stay healthy then do believe they will win the league. It is interesting that every team has already lost at least one game in the league which shows that with the exception of Manchester and Plymouth all teams can beat each other.

If Riders had Mo Walker available to them AND a decent backup PG then I'd be confident of winning some silverware. However, we were informed Walker would be out for the season with his hamstring injury/operation. He's still on the bench watching every game so I'm assuming he's being paid by the club. Does that mean they are hopeful of an earlier return than publicised? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I'm a little dubious about retaining him as a paid member of the setup if he is genuinely out for the season which is why I have a sneaking suspicion he may actually be scheduled to come back at some stage this season. We've seen that with injured Riders players in the past.

I think the same about Eagles. 2 players short, one of which we actually have but can't play 😢 If Rodney Glasgow got his Visa issue sorted and we had a starting quality SG/backup PG when Fletch is sitting that would be a big help, who knows if we'll see Glasgow again this year. Second is a backup big who can bring some energy on D. Darius can't play big minutes for a full season and Getty’s isn't mobile enough for me against the better teams.
Total guess as I think a lot depends on injuries but I think the top 3 will be Eagles, Lions and Sharks.

I believe Glasgow now has his British virgin isles passport so should be able to play soon.

Lions are probably supposed to win it. They're obviously the defending champions. I imagine they're the biggest spenders of any club that seems likely to last the season. They have elite top end talent and they're 10/11 deep. That's not a confident prediction that they will win it mind you. This is, in my opinion the deepest and certainly the most open BBL we've had in years. You can make some sort of case for quite a few.
I strongly disagree with the idea that Sharks are the league's most talented team. I don't even think they're in that conversation in fact. They've only got seven players worth mentioning and it's hardly a dazzling seven on paper. Most are known quantities... Solid BBL veterans but with the possible exception of Tuck, not guys who have ever been top performers in this league in the past. And neither of the newcomers has particularly breathtaking pedigree either. Koch is a second year pro who averaged 6 ppg in the Dutch league last season and Cashaw is a rookie coming off a solid but hardly spectacular college career. I'm not in agreement with the popular (albeit largely unsubstantiated) opinion that the BBL has suddenly got dramatically ****ter this year but I'm at a loss to explain Sharks' early form. I think they've played significantly over their heads to this point and if they can maintain it for a full season Atiba Lyons (Yes, Atiba Lyons) ought to run away with the COTY award.

I have no idea so far. Could be the team that doesn't lose at home that does it.
I think i have seen nearly every team in action and if i am honest nobody jumps every roster just feels like they are loaded with inconsistencies, my own team more than ever. Pryor one night can be dazzling the next zero out or him and the same goes for Ali Fraser. If he could stay dialled in for a full 40 he would be the best 4 player in the league.
The short league season almost makes it more exciting as its work talking about the standings from day 1.
I could see rocks finishing top 3. But then i could name 6/7 teams that could do that
