8 mins played, Fletcher on 3 fouls, two playing and a technical. Be interesting how the team plays without him for a time. Mind you with CJ on 8 points he can always play the PG as well.

Well that got a bit tasty at the end. Not sure what the BBL has put into their circulars to the team's. I've watched two games on YouTube this week end and had 5 ejections, 4 DQ's and another players out with two unsportsmanlikes. Teams will have to have fuller benches at this rate.

Just watched a bit of the game. Can someone tell me why Getty is Not playing in a better league. He is killing the Scorchers. Failed to make the D league before Xmas, whole season commitment could be the concern? However have to agree, was very good in his two part seasons with Nix, come back a lot sharper and fitter than last season and with the supply from Fletcher can, and is, scoring easily. |

Scrappy game all the way through, then the last seconds topped it all off. The BBL need to have a word with their referees about consistency though; Morsell was given a technical for a flop vs Sharks, and then one of the Scorchers players (couldn't see who exactly on the stream) threw himself down like he'd been tasered in the 2nd quarter and got away with it.

Good to see Schlitzer playing more aggressively on offence, did a great job tonight. Also Eddie is really starting to play with some confidence, great to see. Bit of a weird game, but was pleased to see how we played when Fletcher was off the floor tonight after some early foul trouble.
Morsell looked like he picked up a knock and went off early. We didn't seem to miss him too much, I sometimes despair at his shot selection. He's obviously a talented player but sometimes forces things a bit too much at times.
Anyway, a good win on the road against what looks like a much improved Scorchers team from last season.

One ref very quick to give T warns and T players up! Mind White trash talker at end after hitting 3 but getting heated when on end of it was poor! Mind Hawthorne giving it the hold me back route was funny on second viewing of the handbags lol.
Great result for Eagles but Scorchers clearly a talent team that will do very well at home

What happend at the end has no right in basketball, you can't try and head butt someone, apparently their was a arm thrown, I didn't see that bit to be honest and completely overshadowing the game,
Now for the actual game very well played Newcastle you have a great combo in fletch and CJ, was good to see nick back at the sports park and hitting some nice shoots,
Half of the issues come from the refs, all the fans want in consistency,
Surrey will cauce and lot of teams issues this season but we need to start rebounding better.

Hussein gets the shot, Skyler had arms up to catch the ball but Hussein gets it (which he shouldn’t of touched) and pulls his arms away, Skyler turns around away from Hussein but Hussein approaches him front behind bumping him with his chest then getting in his face.

Seems fairly obvious to me that Skyler Whyte didn't know about the head to head changes and got frustrated that Hussein had dunked essentially on the buzzer

Wouldn't call that a headbutt to be honest. Was a bit strange, the rest of the game didn't seem to have any more aggro than any other game I've seen this year. Pantomime stuff really. |
