Won’t be a new coach. PJ is on a 2 year contract and seeing that out for sure. A lot of the deadwood is going! 👀 Pretty sure the 2 years is up this season isn't it?

His recruitment has been nothing short of terrible - youve ridden Hassan Wilcher and Nicholas last season and this season given the first two are injured you have a team of role players with no roles. He lost Wells (a guy who got a lot of stick from the fans) and replaced him with someone far worse. The team looks imbalanced, unorganised and unstructured and hes got a bloody good budget to work with. Now look at Worcester - another place where he had a massive budget and facilities, for me he should have done better. Look at Newby in his first season with similar resources - a cup final this weekend and looking like they can seriously challenge for the league. What did Paul James win there? One league and one playoffs/cup I think? Newby could seriously better that this year. Overrated. |

And one more thing, if Ive learned one thing about Plymouth fans they are nothing if not loyal to their team. They deserve better than what theyve been seeing since Love departed the first time.

And does it make the team overall that much better given that you've released Sam Daniel and Tyrell Johnson? I mean, the two of those guys didn't impress me whatsoever to be fair.

No I didn't for a second think they'd replace him in the middle of a season.
He's got some serious questions to answer to keep him in a job longer term though.

I actually don't think Neighbour is too bad offensively. Inside/outside 4 man - I actually like the guys offensive game a lot and you'll see an upturn at that end of the floor.
I do however think he's a bit soft - and its a view shared with a few teams' coaching staff around the league. Certainly on the defensive end.

He was great defensively tyrell but vary rarely are you going to stick around not quite averaging 10 points unless you are exceptional in other facets I.e Payne at raiders last year or a big inside presence like Bristol, so I'm not really suprised probably would signal to me that the season will be written off if you can keep Leslie Smith Hassan wilcher and neighbour and ubario that's already a good bbl team as some decent imports (don't think januska is the guy) you'd hope to compete!!

Really puzzled, there are some decent imports about but nothing announced regarding that. It seems a real mess.

The way I've seen the issue this season is 2 things. Weve had the talent so I'm putting it down to these.
1. We just dont play defense well and rely on our offence to hide that but it doesnt.
2. No one wants to be the man. Everyone is happy to be a role player and do his job but there isnt a guy that when we need a play we can go to him to create. Donte did that last year, tyler and drew did it for riders, justin for lions, fletcher for newcastle. Every team if they want to be successful needs a guy like that.
