Another ex-Royal in drug controversy - AJ Roberts has been banned for 2 years for testing positive for weed.
He claimed that it was put in a brownie he was given by a friend. There are absolutely no allegations that friend was Elvisi Dusha....

Bit of an over reaction from Steve there H! Silly lad tho On the Leopards season so far- any thoughts on a change in coaching staff at all? Not wanting anyone out or anything but I guess in soccer terms it would have been changed by now?

I like the added tweet. Guessing aimed at EB. Guessing the guy doesnt understand the role sport england. Ukad and others play and that the NGB sign up for doping checks. A 2 year ban is pretty substantial. Im sure he could get it reduced to a year upon appeal

Yeah, it's an entertaining rant from Steve but aimed at the wrong people. I do think two years for this offence is extreme.
re changing the coach. I've never been a fan of doing it mid-season, there's very few examples of it working and we don't have the money to throw at the few players out there we could get and would make a difference - this isn't football where you could make eight January signings/loans etc if you were in trouble. . Which is why getting AJ was so important.

All drugs are bad, ban is fully deserved.
I've made my feelings clear on wacky baccy in the past and my position on the matter has still not changed.

No, and I said in my blog that it's best reason for not doing it. But if we were starting at day zero and deciding what was and wasn't legal fags and weed would probably be classed as the same. I doubt spirits would be legal, either.
The reality is if every player in the BBL (or D1) was tested this weekend, when the results came through there would be some very different line-ups on the floor. Although the prominent D1 player who regularly plays with a bottle of scotch inside him wouldn't have to worry.

We’ve had this discussion before It’s a ridiculous ban imo. Is it desirable no but neither is getting pissed driving and abusing a police officer That player played bbl the following year
Think our values are somewhat warped
If a player was publicly promoting the use of blow I’d have an issue. Wether he did or didn’t use it privately I don’t care.
Is it 70% of all 16 year olds have experience of drug use.
I’d rather ban someone for having 5 trips to Mac Donald’s each week

Exactly, look at the state of a hell of a lot of kids nowadays, If it’s illegal to use, expect a ban if your caught using it, every player knows the rules, Theres really no argument, even if you personally think it’s ok to use. Its not ok for a player to use.....

Mental. Guys on a terrible salary in general terms as it is and Is then told he can’t earn for 2 years for doing something 50% of the league he plays on does.... (if you question this figure you really need to do some digging)

I would love to see every player in the league tested.
Im not sure many know the true extent. Im a little liberal with my views on smoking weed tbh and thats not helped by the absolutley dire healthcare the players get here.

The drug you are taking about when lit, has over 7000 chemicals with at least 69 of them known to cause cancer. It's really not a tough concept to understand

Is it 70% of all 16 year olds have experience of drug use. Where do you get that stat from Faz? Stats I've looked at don't look remotely near that figure? Unless by experience you mean they know someone whos taken drugs?

I’d still say that a diet of junk food would be more harmful than the occasional joint It’s all about perception and established norms with no rationale based on actual harm. It’s not cheating it’s not performance enhancing Very probably has the opposite effect. Legality is an issue but the world has had many laws that make no sense.
