Lions announce Ogo Adegboye as their latest signing. Not played in almost a years but hopefully he's already trained with Lions & will get back to some decent match fitness over the rest of the season. Absolutely delighted if he does get match fit, really good guard! link |

Christ. If he's anything like he was two years ago then that's a great pickup.
He did, for a long time, keep Justin Robinson out of the GB picture.

Looks like he retired almost 2 years ago to the day. Albeit aged only 30.
At 32 he's certainly young enough to try for a comeback
edit my mistake he announced retirement jan 2018
but was playing in jan 2019 at least

Now you see why they didnt get Jordan! Unreal to think that lions will have ogo and justin with okodo backing them up. To think theres ovie and peel too is just ridiculous! Give them the title now

Give them the title now And 3 of the 4 best players are British. Got to be the best set of British players we've had in the league for a while surely. Those three plus Lawrence, Saunders, Josephs, J Williams, Spencer, Chuku, Fraser, Mockford off the top of my head. And a host of players who've been around for a while but are contributing like Jamell, JWH, Thomson, Defoe, Murray, Jackman, Neighbour, Cal Jones and Tayo. Plus Nick Lewis who has been playing way above the level he showed last time he was in the league. Plus a load of obvious ones that I'll have missed out. Good to see. |

Some pretty good Americans kicking about too in my estimation. Terrible league we have this year though apparently. No talent anywhere. Every team stinks. Standard's down massively from recent seasons when we've had a BBL packed full of brilliant teams like... Umm... I dunno? Maybe someone can help me out here? I really don't understand how so many people seem to think this. I don't know how anyone could look at Lions' roster and think that it's not, on paper, a seriously good BBL team. Even without this signing. They've hardly had it all their own way to this point either. That would suggest to me that the league's actually relatively good this year. Apparently that's wrong though. The BBL was clearly far stronger when Eagles and Riders were the only teams worth mentioning. Just because it was. |

I'm doubting Ogo is commanding a big salary, he's just back from a long layoff & I'm guessing he's probably living in London already. He's with Lions to get his match fitness back & put himself in the shop window for next season. Win win for both parties I would think.

They've played plenty of league games and only lost once. They did need to improve their squad. But they have. I still say winning the league could be hampered by the unpredictability of when soko can and can't play But I'm happy for them to be the favourites |
