Eagles need to win this handsomely if they are to get on track.

Margin irrelevant for me. Progression to the semis is all that matters

Looking forward to seeing Sharks again at the ECA, they've been good to watch the last few times I've seen them. Hope we can finally work out a way of playing this team. If our team is the same as on Sunday I can't see it happening.

If our team is the same as on Sunday I can't see it happening. The Eagles can't take the full court press and MacKnight has Fletchers number. If Morsell and Glasgow play we have half a chance. Only other thing we can hope for is that they have a bad night shooting but with our pitiful D I can't see it.

If we took an Eagles team from say 3 or more seasons ago v the squad we have now it would be a whitewash. Thats where we are today. Mikes behind the top 5 current bbl teams that arnt as good as a few seasons back. Charlie Smith even now could average more in ten mins per half than most of the squad we have currently. I cant see the players we have improving to any great extent. Sharks, Riders, and Lions must be loving it.

All we need to do to beat Sharks is get Morsell fit, Glasgow cleared and OJ signed from the Royals - easy !

Never seen so many of the squad injured every 5 minutes in previous seasons. Call me old fashioned but we seem weak as water.

First game I've watched (tried to) at Newcastle and that side CCTV camera is horrific!

Great atmosphere and great game with for once a great result ! Morsell on good form and Fletch/CJ winning their battles with McKnight/Koch. Eagles could still win something this year !

That was key especially as still carrying Schlitzer & Kai Williams , now Eddie injured, Darius looks knackered, problems mounting up, Glasgow still unavailable

The attitude of the team was noticeably different and we played with much more energy and movement. CJ played his best game for us tonight despite not hitting the points total he usually would. His movement off the ball really helped open thing up for Fletch and Morsell. Totally different to last weeks thrashing by Nix.

Wow, much more impressive level of commitment from the Eagles tonight. Particularly evident in how we played defense, but also the way we moved the ball and players stood up to be counted. Fletcher was an absolute rock tonight and kept McKnight quiet all night long. Gettys although not scoring too much (for his standards) was so important defensively along with Defoe who had a much better game despite heavy strapping on his shoulder. Still thought Sharks played pretty well and started off the game shooting the ball from outside very well. We came out 2nd quarter and did a much better job of limiting those opportunities. Koch impressed as he got pretty beat up by our bigs but kept coming back hard, missed dunk aside! Was nice of Sharks to bring on Backovic half way through the second quarter to give us some breathing room. Tuck does a good job of being pantomime villain as well, which gave the game extra edge.
Regarding the coverage on YouTube, its frustrating. We started off the season using our own camera and the footage is fine, after a few games we had the BBL one installed and the games look almost unwatchable now. Why not go back to the one we used before? Eagles have been putting out great highlight footage for a few years now the same set up.
Was great to see a close, competitive game at the ECA. It feels like we've had months of blowouts against undermanned, poor sides or we've not been showing up ourselves and being blown out. Crowd was excellent tonight as well, and stuck with the team right from the tip. The win was great but more happy with the attitude than anything else, all I want to see on a Friday night is a good game of basketball.

Have to agree about switching the cameras over, the coverage used to be infinitely better. Tuck was much more subdued tonight, should just concentrate on his game as if he winds up our crowd they don’t forget, hilarious when he got a T

"Was nice of Sharks to bring on Backovic half way through the second quarter to give us some breathing room" !!!!!!! This stupid sh1t has to stop, we were playing 4 on 5 when he was on the floor You have 7 half decent players so just rotate them and leave Backovic for scrub time, its demoralising to the rest of the team when he is on the floor during any real game time He a local league division 3 player at best !!!

That's actually an insult to some local league division 3 players too

I agree he did look a bit shakey He relies on his change of speed to create space so I guess he is vulnerable to injury and needs to be 100% healthy to be effective too We really need to get a grip of the toxic Backovic situation though, it reflects badly on the whole organisation

Forgot to mention, does anyone know why Morsell and Tuck got T'd for celebrating scoring last night? Seems a bit draconian, it was great to see the level of passion from both teams last night and the refs seemed to do their best to spoil it?

Couldn’t see the Tuck T, but Morsell’s resulted from him gesticulating to the ref that he was fouled whilst shooting (ie he was asking for a FT). Struck me as a bit OTT and I’ll bet a fiver Tuck’s T wouldn’t have happened if Morsell hadn’t been given his.
Eagles dealt very well with Tuck last night. He scored two 3’s in the first 5 mins and not a lot else. Well guarded, especially by Defoe and Hussein.
Hussein - what an enigma. Athletic but uncoordinated. Smart but makes gormless errors. Sweet shot but can miss anything. Completely unpredictable. What do others think?

Had a couple of silly turnovers trying to force passes that weren't really there last night. I get he was trying to move the ball quickly which I like to see, but there is an art to that and you've got to pick those passes. I like him but I feel Defoe is more reliable most of the time.
