Namon Wright's shot from the corner with 8 seconds to go was the gamechanger Nope - it was the 3 foul shots given for the foul in front of the scorchers bench in the last minute. Hard for me to tell from my seat but Creon was seriously unhappy even continuing his complaints after the final Thoroughly enjoyable game. Sorry if it didn’t match up to how some people on here think the game should be played !! Or the unsportsmanlike that shouldn't have been given against riders shortly before or after that?

A second foul on a play is automatically unsportsmanlike. Or at least it was when I did my refereeing exams some years ago

Looked like 2 fouls to me - but I may be biased of course !

Of course I'd watch it again to see if my memory is accurate but the video is "unavailable" on you tube...

Learning point for other teams: when Corey Johnson has hit three, four, five, six 3-pointers - wouldn't it be a good idea to try to stop him? Mind, that leaves Namon Wright open so maybe not.

To sum things up? The great Riders D giving up 90+ points. Got out of jail by a record equalling number of 3s. How many times will that be repeated? (The number of 3s)

Rider fans clutching at Straws. 4 Americans and a dodgy Brit/ Canadian. The poorest Riders team I have seen in many years watching. Take away the dodgy Brit and you would have lost to a Streetball team.

It's how we played the game. How you played the game? So you set out to equal a record? Get out of jail as in how many times can you expect a player to hit as many 3s. Take that record equalling feat out of the game and you would have struggled. That's not forgetting your great D letting you down a fact you appear to have forgotten.

He started hitting threes early so he carried on hitting threes? Why stop when it's working? Nothing to do with having to get out of jail? If he hadn't been hitting the threes we would have changed plan and won another way?

Did you watch the same game as I did? Where would you have found 30 points from.

Blimey. Whatsbev doesn't like us very much does it. Is there really not one non-Riders fan on here who's willing to call that a good road win against a competitive opponent, essentially minus one of the league's best players? No? Fair enough but I hope Lions, Eagles and whoever else people want to deem a contender get a similar scolding when they win one on the road by the skin of their teeth. Because I think whoever ultimately wins the league this year is going to have had some very tough games away from home. That's the BBL this season. Save for possibly Giants, there aren't really any gimmies. Certainly not on the road anyway.
If we can't get Cartwright healthy I think winning the league's probably going to prove beyond us. With him back and with the additions of Spencer and Johnson I honestly think we're pretty damn strong at the guard/wing spots though our bigs are looking a soft bunch and defending the paint does seem to be an issue for us. Shipped 50 points in the paint last night and it wasn't all MBA by any stretch of the imagination. I don't think we're a particularly good rebounding team either. Career numbers suggest that Nelson-Henry should be a pretty good force on the boards in this league but he hasn't been that so far. AT is hardly Dennis Rodman and Chuku's an awful rebounder for a guy with his physical tools. All three of our bigs are currently being out-rebounded by Kyron. Granted he plays more minutes but I still think that's a bit of an embarrassing statistic. They need to toughen up.

Got to hand it to Leicester - they still grind out the wins. A better team than Surrey might have put them away but that should take nothing away from the Riders, especially without Cartwright. Er, Steven - read this before you feel too persecuted.
