If the Turkish billionaire wants to dominate BBL he needs to make Rob an offer he can't refuse

Billionaires Boys club took one hell of a beating tonight, For me the key to beating Raiders is keeping Josh Wilcher quiet, We played as a TEAM, plenty of superb individual displays but all in all a solid TEAM display. Great team to watch Doesn't matter who's on court. No weak links. Bringing on Spencer, Johnson, Ward Hibbert and Thomson from the bench! If and when we add Mo Walker to this group it will be scary. Another week to work hard and improve now

Two fantastic wins this weekend and let’s not forget we did it without using our EU / USA import Joe Scott, We could have won both by 50+

Quite the statement from Riders this weekend. You certainly can't pin these results on a Klay Thompson-esque shooting display from one player. Our shooting was decidedly ordinary today in fact and we still blew an on paper decent Raiders team out of their own building. I've believed more or less from the start that we've got a seriously competitive starting five. Don't think there's a better starting backcourt in the league than Kyron and Namon. The difference between now and a month or so ago is that we no longer have to play our best players 35+ minutes to win games. We're starting to look a seriously good team. Doesn't mean a huge amount at this stage but I reckon we're just about edging favouritism now as far as the league goes.
Scott did sub in very late today but he may as well not have bothered. Played about five seconds of defense then watched JWH dribble out the clock. Given how easily we've won both games, I'm surprised we couldn't find a way to get him some sort of meaningful court time this weekend. He's essentially our third string PG for so long as Lascelles is out and Kyron hasn't been the most dependable guy, fitness-wise. As poor as Scott has been for the most part, it's not completely inconceivable that we could need him again at some point and he won't have got any better parked on the end of the bench not playing. It's got to be pretty depressing when your team wins two games by a combined margin of 54 points and you still only get on the court for 30 seconds.

I think the Eagles result was much more significant, but I wouldn't read too much in to a win against Raiders at the moment. They look a bit discombobulated by all that cash and the same team lost by 25 to the Wolves on Friday?

The energy and movement is as good as I have ever seen from Riders. We are missing a Drew Sullivan type for when the going gets tough. But in terms of free flowing basketball this is top quality right now Plus we've won 5 on the now. And we seem to look better each game.

Plymouth looked really mixed up with Richards on the floor and he wasn`t aggressive at all at the defensive end and too slow to the ball. 7ft tall playing about 6`2"
I wonder if that`s why he has bounced around the Basketball world his whole career ?
Clearly got bball skills but no heart or hustle Shame

The Eagles win was unquestionably more significant but it would have counted for relatively little had we not followed it up with a performance today. Admittedly Raiders did look turd. Woeful defensively and generally disorganised. If we'd shot the ball the way we did Friday the final score would have looked very similar. Clearly got bball skills but no heart or hustle Shame This is very much my perception of Richards. I still haven't forgotten that utterly god awful performance he turned in for GB a few years ago. He's no sort of rim protector. He's a mediocre rebounder for a guy with his frame. And he's a pretty inefficient source of offense. Massive unit but really doesn't seem to use his size very effectively at all. He's an average perimeter shooter at best but he can't jack up threes fast enough. He attempted 20 in two games for Surrey last season which is an absolutely ludicrous number. And even when he is fed the ball in the low post it seldom seems to result in anything really high percentage at the rim. Usually just some weak mid-range fadeaway. He's got to be one of the most enigmatic, most under-achieving basketball players currently around. Will probably still get a decent opportunity in Europe at the start of next season. Won't last more than a handful of games though. Same thing happens every year.
