Even better to see our own mate CJ back Wonder how much, if any, time CJ will have tonight, suspect he may not do too much bearing in mind the second leg on Sunday.

He's not playing all weekend, might make next Friday but out of both games this weekend. Knocked my confidence for tonight and Sunday looks very dicey all of a sudden as well.

Game constantly freezes or disappears on YT. I have fast broadband and nothing wrong with download speed. Guess it's them then?

Surrey looked really good in the first quarter, as we really struggled to deal with their size. They were always looking to get switches on to Glasgow or Fletcher and it just looked like we one too many smaller guys out there, as we struggled to get to grips with it. Made some adjustments in the remaining quarters which definitely made the difference. The difference in the second half was our defence, which we really seemed to step up after the break. All of our players had hands in at all times, which forced Surrey in to quite a few turnovers. Was great to see Kai Williams playing aggressively tonight, and I thought he shut down White well when he was on court.
Scorchers look a talented if ill-disciplined team who are easily forced in to errors. I was expecting some kind of response which just didn't seem to come after we went ahead. Heads certainly seemed to drop once things started to go against them. Their coach is a character too, having some back and forth with the Eagles fans as the night went on.
Well done Eagles, hope we can repeat this level of intensity on Sunday evening.

Good post that, nicely summarised, you can see how dangerous they can be, giving up 31 points 1st qtr wasn’t in the script for sure

Good to see McLeod changing his plan A. Haven't seen it mentioned but Darius did a great on MBA all game. Although once Surrey went behind he really didn't look interested.

One day we might play for all 4 quarters. Not last night though.

Agreed, was an entertaining battle to begin with but MBA's head dropped as they went behind and that was that. Been really disappointed every time I've seen him play to be fair.

I think we were a better team before MBA signed to be honest. Strange thing to say of course but the team dynamic seems to have completely disappeared.
I’m also very sad to see James Hawthrones minutes drop as his energy was great for the team.
I think you either have to build a team around MBA or not bother - don’t know that he can fit into an already existing system
