We must have tired Riders out last night.
After all they are playing so well. Have a better coach, better bench, better players, better than everyone else... I've I missed anything?
Only beating us by 7 and us getting 80 without our main guard and then this..
Oh I did forget; finding other ways to win.

I think we need to revisit Rob needing to go. He doesnt coach well anymore. 6th consecutive season where they've done worse. These are facts not opinions Rob’s future aside....not sure you’ve got your ‘facts’ right? 2012-13 BBL Cup Winners, League Champions, Playoff Champions. 2013-14 BBL Cup Winners. 2015-16 BBL Trophy Winners, League Champions. 2016-17 BBL Trophy Winners, League Champions, Playoff Champions. 2017-18 BBL Trophy Winners, League Champions, Playoff Champions. 2018-19 BBL Playoff Champions. I’ve not done the maths, but is Lions winning the Championship really as simple as that? Surely there’s a threat from others, like Rocks, in the equation too? Having put some new batteries in my calculator, I think there are other permutations......
If Riders win all of their remaining games AND Lions lose at least one game, the title will go to the Riders. (based on Riders having 3 losses, Lions having at least 4 losses, Rocks having at least 4 losses)
...............that's a big "IF" tho...
Lots of permutations. There’s no denying that we needed the win but Lions absolutely annihilated us today. BUT....on the back of that win are they now Champions elect or even clear favourites? I’m not sure that the title race is that clean cut. One loss separates the top five sides. Lions, Rocks and Riders all have three losses. Eagles and Wolves have four. Each of them have yet to play three or four of the others and with several heads to head to be decided it certainly isn’t a done deal yet by any means.

Its scary the amount of trophies we've actually lost since then because we insisted on keeping him in charge.

"Make sure you never get remotely close to winning anything. That way nobody can ever accuse you of getting worse." We all must remember they got to a trophy final not long ago by mistake. But boy did the coaches make sure they played crap in that final to put things right. That was a near miss.

I'm actually saying it in general. Us Riders fans tend not to discuss refs much. When we win or when we lose. They are just a part of the game we have to accept.

I was sitting behind the Riders bench/fans yesterday and I wouldn't say the complaints were non-existent from the stand. But I do want to make the point that Rob P wasn't going crazy on the sideline as he usually does when things aren't going his way. The least passionate/vociferous I've ever seen him – including when coasting to a win!
Ed Lucas made a massive difference for Lions, especially in the first half. 'Magic' Tuach was unreal, especially on the offensive end, and Peel was at his best. Some massive defensive stats: defensive rebounds 36-23, steals 9-3, blocks 8-0.
Soko has been starting on the bench since the Newcastle game on 7 February. I've heard it's his own idea. I'm not sure of the logic behind it.

It was a big step towards retaining the Championship title, but I certainly don’t think it’s a done deal yet. Lots of opportunities for other teams to impress and equally for Lions to slip up. As much as I enjoyed the game, it’s still all to play for in my opinion. And that’s why I’m not INF.

I'm not sure of the logic behind it. Those were a couple of observations I made at the game yesterday too. I kept looking at Rob expecting him to be going ballistic, but he wasn’t. A far cry from a couple of seasons back where he got ejected from a games against Lions. Is he a changed man, or did the game get to a point where he just new there was no chance of them winning this one? Regarding Soko, I’m surprised to see him becoming more and more a bench player. My personal assumption is that Vince (and perhaps Soko himself) feels the starting five is strong enough, so better tactically to keep him in reserve for when he’s needed, which yesterday he sort of wasn’t.

Maybe he can recommend a Coach currently playing at the ‘highest level’ from over there.....I think it’s been done before?

Dont know why leicester fans are turning this feed into one about a separate team.
Even Makem Takem are questioning Rob now, time for him to move on

Even Makem Takem are questioning Rob now, time for him to move on to Plymouth I can see what is going on here Mr Tall wants the billionaire owner at Raiders to poach him He's had a word in his ear and he's trying to unsettle him I like his style I've edited his post above accordingly

There were certainly plenty in the stands on Saturday. One woman very very vocal, lots standing up to shout at the refs (when they didnt like the decisions). Must say I was fairly happy with the refs on Saturday, in all but one occasion, when Rob had a good rant, waving his arms around and this still continued after the ref spoke to him. I'm informing you now the ref wouldn't have been as lenient with Atiba and we have the same 3 refs on a regular basis. I am upset about it, not really, am I ranting, nah. Probably wouldn't have mentioned it if the subject of refs hadn't been brought up. Who knows if it had changed the game. We could possibly have been a point closer adding to a real tense finish. Tbh I'm dont think many fans would grumble too much when they win most of their games. Even the odd loss might be forgiven unless it went down to a real horrific decision/call.

I'm saying disagreeing with refs during the game is no prob and part of the game. Anything you can do to try and influence them is fine. That's part of being a sports fan. Once the game is over and you've won or lost that's when it's time to stop. As you can't do anything about it etc. Wasted energy etc.

As you can't do anything about it etc. Wasted energy etc. There's nothing you can do about it during the game either, once the ref has made the call he ain't ever going to change it, and he's certainly not going to change it because of fans being vocal about it! So I'm not sure why there's a difference between ranting about a ref during the game or after it! If it's worth saying, you might as well say it more than once! All this comes from a person who has probably annoyed more refs than anyone else on here both because of my comments during and after the game!!! I was even told recently by someone shouting at an official, it's alright, they'll think it's you anyway!!
