Very disappointed I won't be at this game. By the time I'd got round to buying tickets it was sold out!! Great for Scorchers, definitely building a very good base of supporters but not so good for people who weren't organised enough to buy tickets earlier!!! I could of got you in 😜 some say I’m known around these parts 🤣🤣 Attachments:

Each game becomes more of a must win game than the last for Lions. Riders may have had a little blip but Wolves certainly haven't & Rocks seem very solid. For Lions to retain the league title,I'm not sure we can afford to lose more than one more game & it's going to be tough. Surrey will be very difficult to beat, particularly now the whole team will be more team orientated than they were with MBA on the roster. MBA is a good player but he doesn't always help the team dynamic & he certainly didn't help Surrey's. That's not all his fault, it's also the way other players around him play. As for Lions, if we play for 40 minutes like we did against Riders, we'll be fine but we have to keep that level of intensity & desire up or the rest of the season. We will no doubt be a better team without MBA - not sure it will be enough to challenge the Lions. Looking forward to it though ! 👀

Best game MBA has played for us tonight. Focussed, disciplined and played his role perfectly.
Plus with the number of fouls we’d have run out of players without his 5 to give !

Exciting game of competitive BBL basketball that Scorchers deserved to win but totally spoilt by Keith Williams & crew who made it almost impossible for basketball to actually be played. Massive credit for both teams who managed to make a game out of one of the worst managed games I have seen for a very long time. I rarely comment about officials now, in general I find myself agreeing more than disagreeing with them & I've become slightly immune to their idiosyncrasies but tonight was something else!!!

I couldn't decide who I wanted to win or lose. All possibilities had their pros and cons.
This certainly opens things wide open. I'd guess that things are all very tight. Guess we'll have to wait until after Sunday's games to see the league table. Should be interesting.

Robinson's absence shows how much Lions nedd him.
MBA was a totally different player last night. Played the right role.

Robinson's absence shows how much Lions nedd him. MBA was a totally different player last night. Played the right role. I was busy over the weekend so didn’t do anything other than check the final score of this game. I thought Lions would win, but that was based on the (what should have been a safe) assumption that Robinson was playing and that MBA was no longer playing for Scorchers as per the announcement last week. Now I know why we lost… Retaining the Championship title now looks… questionable. Looks like this season is going to go down to the final few games again!

What's happened to Robinson? No minutes. Commentators said, flu. Our next game isn’t until 1st April now, so even if he’s had to self-quarantine for a couple of weeks hopefully it’ll just be a one game absence.

Just 're-watched game thought Creon coached game right using MBA off the bench, lions definitely missed Robinson but shouldn't take it away from scorchers. As for the refs we're so used to their bad calls we just accept them.

Even with flu it can leave you weak for sometime, more than a couple of weeks recovery. Doesnt make a difference to us as we've already played our 2 games against Lions; 2 games of the 5 that we've lost, but it could affect current form and where Lions finish in the league. Surely though they're not so heavily dependent on the one player with all that talent they have.

Surely though they're not so heavily dependent on the one player with all that talent they have. Apparently the commentator said flu. But the 2 weeks absence I stated was based on the likeness that even with flu he’s probably been ordered to self-isolate as per government advice. But yes flu can take longer than 2 weeks to recover from. But then again there’s ‘flu’ - the term used by a lot of people who simply have a bad case of the common cold, and there’s flu – the actual virus that pretty much keeps you in your bed for at least a week. Either way, there’s now almost a 4 week gap until the next Lions game. But who knows how the league (and the country) will be impacted by corona by then!
