As it looks likely the season will end before any more league games are played, what are peoples thoughts on the Rocks getting the title?
For me, it just wouldn't feel the same and it would be a "tainted" title almost. Coming from someone who has waited such a long time for silverware! Under the circumstances though it is difficult to judge...

I desperately want Rocks to pick up some silverware - but there's just too many what ifs. Lions and Riders still very much in the hunt....

I'd say we should get it, unlike Jill, I don't see it as a tainted title.
Tainted should only be used if a team cheated in order to win, something the Rocks haven't done.
For far too long the Rocks have underachieved and when the one moment they are in top spot you'd rather lose that, sorry but I'd take it.

The last time I remember us being this close, Blake Shelton snapped his achilles tendon at the Kelvin Hall, and we didn't manage to replace him. We then lost about 10 games in a row. It's like a curse. |

Season should be ended now and void the league title. We might, for example, have got Mo Walker back playing before the league ended. Other teams might have been in a similar boat. Too many ifs buts and maybes to give the title to any team.

Yeah give it to Rocks for me. Clear winners by virtue of only 3 regular season losses to date. It's not like other teams had games in hand and could have caught them.

Leicester have 3 games in hand according to the Standings, even if all 3 of those games were Riders wins they'd still be behind by 2 points, same for the Lions too although they only have 1 game in hand.

Yes, if we awarded prizes based on current standings: 1st – Glasgow Rocks (based on points/games played) 2nd – London Lions (based on points/games played, only 1 game in hand behind Rocks, and having the h2h over Riders) 3rd – Leicester Riders (based on points/games played, having 2 games in hand behind Rocks, and losing the h2h over Riders) I’m not necessarily saying that’s what the record books should reflect, but statistically that’s the results. And on the off-chance the remainder of the season and the play-offs are scrapped but the Play-Off final goes ahead I guess we’d have Glasgow v London. |

Yep Rocks should have the Title - if they are top of the league at the end of the season - (if its cut short) then they have won the title fair and square

To me the challenge for BBL is it’s not a simple case of resuming when safe to do so as the teams have already possibly changed out of all recognition.
Personally I would say void for that reason with apologies to Rocks fans....
