So I'm bored and thought we could start a thread of the worst American player your club has ever signed and kept.
Rules:
*Player must have lasted at least 1 whole season
*Player must be American
*Player must be trash
*Player must've played during your clubs time in the BBL (sorry Hersey, you cant nominate Asante)
I'll start off and say the worst import to last a season in Plymouth is either Terry Horton or Javarris Barnett
Who you nominating?

Sly McIntosh. With an emphasis on the Tosh. We truly saved the worst 'till last. We've had at least 3 D1 Americans who were significantly better than him

This is difficult for me. As you'll all know I am always very careful in my posts not to offend anyone.
Rather than 'queer my pitch' at Worcester, but keeping my response Worcester-related, I should mention Tommy Freeman.
He had a really nice season at Wolves, his rookie year out of college. Formed a terrific American trio at the club, alongside Richie Gordon and Sherrad Prezzie-Blue. Even got a BBL POM award.
But his success over here led to him moving on to what he saw as a bigger opportunity.
I understand he had injury problems and eventually his game descended.
And then he came back to the BBL for Glasgow.
And unfortunately it was embarrassing thereafter. I think his PPG at Wolves was likely to have been 15-20ish. I think his PPG at Rocks was likely to have been 0-5ish...

Don't think Tommy Freeman was as low in scoring as 0-5 in his Rocks season 2014/15, probably more like 6-10. But it was a disappointing season. Believe he went on to get a decent role in coaching at Ohio? I would nominate one of Rocks other imports that same season as one of our most disappointing, Paul Egwuonwu. He was actually cut in October, and then re-signed in December. Bizarre. And then went on to get other pro contracts.
The other biggest disappointment for Rocks, in my opinion, was Riley Grabau, PG in the following season 2015/16. Came from a college team, Wyoming, which had completed a great season, and pretty sure he had been their starter, but didn't contribute much at Rocks other than occasional 3-pointers. Decent ball handler, but no penetration, no great passing ability.

He was a good player in his day before injuries but by the time Jamal Williams arrived at Newcastle he was unfit, overweight and couldn't really run.
Other than that I cant think off the top of my head of a worse import that's lasted a full season since I've been a regular Newcastle attendee.
(And yes I am aware he's Canadian not American and not strictly an import)

I was going to post about Knights or Panthers but then realised, Brent Benson aside, nobody lasted a full season! Armond Battle managed less than half a game, I think Panthers’ 2 lasted a couple of months at best before they had what I think was drug issues (Craig Walls and Hank Rivers, but someone might correct me)
So that leaves Bullets’ wonderful last few seasons. From which I’ve thankfully erased from most of my memory. I’m sure Solly will have some ideas

Everton Tigers were blessed with some great Americans in their brief history - Andre Smith, Josh Gross, Marcus Bailey, Kevin Bell and even Trey Moore for a while - but one of the most disappointing for me was a guy called Tony Robertson in their first season.
This guy came off a 4 year career at Uconn - and when he could be arsed was one of the most talented players Ive ever seen. That being said, he was arsed for about 5 hours across the whole season, practices included. Spent most of his time hungover or in a club and basically had the worst attitude Ive ever seen - and I've witnessed my fair share of morons.

Think im with walt. Riley was a nice guy but didnt seem aggressive compared to other import pg in the bbl, . Being in a team with warren gillis both came with decent college pedigrees.
Tommy was still good for us. Just checked, He averaged 11ppg.
