This one will probably hurt a few people feelings but who was the worst Brit your team had for a whole season?
The rules
* Player must have played at least 1 whole season
*No kids or Development players, once they reach 22 its fair game
* No practise players, were talking strictly rotational guys
Who you got?
*True Brits only, no passport holders

Patrick Manifold
Lovely guy, however pretty hopeless / it didn't work for us.
Greg Richards was pretty ineffective as well for a full season of play.

Who was the Brit who played for two teams, I think one was Mersey and didn't win a game with either?
Him.

Assuming we're talking BBL, it's far too long ago to remember non-entities (even when I'm writing our history) and the line between practice players and genuine members of the roster.
So I'm going to think outside the box and go for assistant coach Rohan Thompson. He "worked" under three coaches, but rarely went to practice. When we won back-to-back league titles, Mark Clark was the real AC. When Bob D was waiting for his work permit he "coached" a 99-74 defeat against Thames Valley Tigers but the following day's Trophy game at Derby saw Bob it behind the bench and called the plays. When Bob was banned for five games, Kojo Mensah-Bonsu coached the game, Bob texted plays from the gantry at Brentwood and Rohan - well he just stood around. You'd think he'd have taken the hint, but he was back for Chris Pullem's year where he continued to do next to nothing. I think in my random spells as AC and/or waterboy with the new Leopards I had more influence on games than him but I believe there are people who've never attended Leopards game who've had only marginally less influence on Leopards' games that Rohan Thompson. And, yes, I did tell him all this once. Admittedly before discovering he was a karate black belt.

Who was the Brit who played for two teams, I think one was Mersey and didn't win a game with either? Him. Josh Lockett. Although he was far from the worst player on that Knights team

Riders 2000/2001 double winning season, Darren Mills....... did all the flashy rubbish during the warm up then looked like a rabbit caught n the headlights during the game. And in a different season, Drew Barrett......the best thing about him was his fake tan and his perfect hairdo, what a crock of ****e he was Both of these played for more than one season, then again we were skint then.

I did consider Darren when thinking about this. It was questionable whether he was a practice player with us - he made 13 appearances according to the excellent history some bloke is currently publishing, but there's no minutes total and it be surprised if he totalled 100. He was also a nice bloke, unlike Thompson. I don't recall him resurfacing in D1, which is telling.
Hopkins was little more than a hockey-style goon. My description of him at Leicester (6 C's) was well deserved.

Forgive me this south London / Royals v Lions bias but the answer has got to be Joe Ikinwin surely?
Long long ago we played together in BA days but having seen him a lot play last 2 seasons it has become painful.
Def time to hang up the kicks and retire (or join Herse’s Leopards which may be a good alternative)? He has never been the fittest or fastest but has looked like he’s carried about 15kg of unwanted poundage in that time.
Stats have been terrible - 10 minutes or so a game, about 2 points no rebounds and no assists.
Rumours abound as to why he has been kept on but surely won’t kit up next season. He seems very fond of his image so may have a future in media for the game

No. However he massively improved during his tenure at Jets and was used in set plays and to give the opposition a different problem at times. Actually quite effective in the home leg of the semi play offs against Lions.

Great at playing his part on set plays and used extremely well by the coaching squad. Was back in Ellesmere Port watching last season, kids loved him and he had plenty of time for everyone, really nice fella. Loved seeing him dunking without taking his feet off the ground!!!
