Sheffield have re-signed Mackey McKnight. Good pass first pg, if he added some more scoring then hed be fantastic. Happy sharks fans?

If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what ... well, you know the rest. Ill informed reply for me that. I get your point if you mean in terms of bringing players back and that has annoyed me that the Sharks talk about familiarity and continuity but no point bringing loads back if they were very ordinary. However, there is times when bringing players back even if average seasons is correct. The Sharks were up and down last season but this is not down to McKnight who was really solid and so improved. He played good defence, led the team well and scored more than he has, developing a consistent outside shot. He had his best season for the Sharks and was our best player last season. The issues where the consistency of the players around him. Lewis tailed off badly, Cashaw took too long to get going and the big man Koch also regressed about a good start. Marsden and Tuck were a bit meh although the latter is getting on - both did have moments but are not starters anymore. We got very little from Ndiaye and the young players were out of their depth. McKnight would be the first player I would have brought back and then build around him. One of the better point guards in the league even if he does not maybe score as much as others.

Always liked what I've seen from him when they've played Eagles up here, and he's always given Fletcher something to think about. Surprised so many teams are announcing signings at the moment!

Looked a bit off the pace against Phoenix last season however he was up against PJC who made almost everyone in the league looked slow. Don't expect McKnight to come up against him next season sadly but you never know, Nix not announced any point guard signings yet. We can but dream.

The contracts must have subject to start date clauses in them to protect the clubs And I guess the announcements are needed to try and get interest into buying season tickets
