More continuity and he was effective as a player so pleased he's returning. If Mo Walker is on our roster too then we'll have good options in the paint.

What's the bet he retires in 2 years once he's finished his masters?

Really glad we’re bringing Darien back, thought he adjusted to the league really well and put in plenty of solid performances, Definitely agree with Massiveridersfan about bring continuity back to our Roster. So Hopefully Big Mo and Darien as our Bigs with possibly Andy Thomson get minutes to give these pair a rest, sounds good to me.

I have no inside knowledge, and could be wrong, but why would you re-sign Nelson-Henry (a player I rate highly) if Walker will also be around - what is the fitness news on Walker?

Seems like a sound bit of recruitment...... Walker has been injured for nearly a year and I doubt if he will be hurried back. Darien is a good cover for him. If both are fit to play, happy days as it will give Thommo a rest.

I think it would be a change of style for Riders to have two big inside players used to playing in the low post. Thomson could play fewer minutes but still be an effective force from off the bench. I do think it's odd we haven't yet announced Mo Walker as being on the roster next season. I know he was on a two-year deal so it could be argued there's no point in stating the obvious. Still...

Clubs always do announce tho, they know we all know how a 2 year deal normally doesn't last 2 years

Pretty confident Thomson will stay. The issues will be over salary and length of contract.

Nelson_Henry is on a two year deal, as he's committed to studying for his MBA at Loughborough Uni's excellent School of Business.

Gutted that Kyron Cartwright has signed for German Pro A side Phoenix Hagan, Would have loved him to return next season, Plus ABA Liga side KK Split are trying to sign Namon Wright. Not surprised really in the current climate.

It seems he's committed to furthering his education, the fact he can also continue to play basketball at high level, is a bonus for him and Riders. Darien Nelson-Henry graduated from Penn, which is an Ivy League university, so obviously education is important to him. The last Penn graduate that took the Riders/Loughboro MBA route seems to be doing pretty well!

Pretty sure Riders must have resigned Corey Johnson
A few days ago Riders Twitter was highlighting a match that he was playing in
Don't think they would be doing that if he wasn't coming back to play for us
He would have been old news
Great player to get back on board if I'm correct
He was superb last season and gave us a spark and lift whenever he was on court

I’d rather have Walker, Nelson- Henry and Tommo than the Lions bigs. So, whatever the financial concerns, make no mistake - Leicester will be as strong as ever.

Providing there is money to pay their wages at the end of November, December, January and February etc Bearing in mind Russ has said we only have enough money to survive til October

I very much doubt it. Leicester is a well run club and I have every confidence that the management team will make the right decisions and will survive. And I’m sure that they will not have made signings they can’t afford and which will put the long term future of the club in jeopardy.
And the same applies to Newcastle.
