So does anybody see a scenario where BBL does start the season behind closed doors? As that seems to be what's happening with other sports. We know normally that wouldn't make financial sense in BBL whereas there is other significant income in the other sports? Even if they start with crowds they must already realise they will be severely restricted crowds and in terms of income the tickets available for the early games may have to go to last seasons season ticket holders anyway to prevent refunds from last season Are we ruling out entirely the league could start without crowds? Are we missing something? Nope you are spot on and it’s not just in the BBL, but a LOT of clubs in Europe won’t be starting back up. And in the case of BCL and Euroleague, traveling between countries along with the lack of adequate paying fans in attendance will put that on ice. A friend of mine is in Serbia and he says it’s grim and doesn’t expect Partizan to play outside the country. So, window dressing until capitulation seems the modus operandi.

what I love most is how dunkster has started throwing in the word bro now to make us believe his lie that he's a mid 20s American (thats how they all talk) rather than a late 40s Londoner

If dunky can't see the difference between what he originally said and what he's now trying to get me to bet on I'm beginning to doubt he even went to college. He's sounding more like his country's glorious leader with each rambling post. I think tbe bbl could start in October but whether they can get enough in the arenas to make it worthwhile is the issue. Closed doors is pointless when you can lop three weeks off tbe season by halving the Cup group stage If I recall, the BBL cancelled the season after postponing it for a looooong time after the NBA, Euroleague and FIBA even cancelled which demonstrates lack of accepting the inevitable. So our in our case Hersey, if they postponed and then subsequently cancelled by say December 23 (two full months) I'm still game. My position has always been that there will be no basketball until 2021 which you've disagreed on several occasions. Happy to find middle ground but the BBL has not been the most forthcoming during this pandemic. Announcing signings and all that is just window dressing and in the case of the Lions playing in BCL, same thing. They too won't be playing on 15 Sep (I'm happy to take that bet too). Even you stance has change from there will be basketball to 'it depend if fans are allowed back". But please, come take my money or quid as you guys say! I'm happy to take your money on that bet, as well. I'll give you 2/1. Because I'm nice. I'll also throw in a shovel because you appear to be wearing your current one out.
