A quick Google shows Esh Group are having to make a lot of people redundant due to Covid.
I guess it's hard to be going through that process and continue to sponsor a sports team at the same time
But I imagine all BBL clubs will have existing sponsors having to make tough decisions and cutbacks

Entirely understandable but certainly worrying times when a large regional building contractor is replaced with a small charity discount scheme/lottery as main sponsor 😔

I'm sure Eagles will be happy to take as much of that as possible!! |

I hope Mr Blake got the money up front 😐 If I was a new main sponsor for Eagles I wouldn't give any money until I knew a start date for a league and until I knew that fans would be allowed to watch the games If not what am I actually getting in return? So tbh it works both ways. Surprising that there was no thank you for Esh Group for all the years of sponsorship? Maybe that's somehwere else? Unless it's all ended on bad terms somehow? That would be a shame. |

And maybe Give2Local get access to Eagles database for more donations etc Theres certainly some synergy there if Give2Local are good at getting donations from businesses And some money is better than no money |

There's more to that website and too many working there to describe it as a shady start up business I just say what I see. And as far as BBL basketball right now and attracting sponsors I'm also realistic enough to say "Beggars can't be choosers" Finally the Eagles owner has been round the block enough times. If the offer from these guys was not good enough or substantial enough then Eagles could have just allowed them to be a minor sponsor rather than a main sponsor - and a shady start up business would likely have accepted that |

IMO Do you think there's a queue forming to become main sponsor of a BBL Basketball team in Newcastle right now Dan? |
