While I wish them all the best etc., the Lions can't grow the sport on their own.
We've seen all this before with Liverpool, Royals etc.
Ambition is laudable but a lesser sport needs to grow as a whole, not just have one club hoovering up all the talent and (in their view) subsequently all the (domestic) trophies.

I smiled at the comment at the end. We are not out to fatten the asset then cut and run, others that may have thought about that just ended with a gastric band around their asses (sorry assets). Solly's got it right it needs a whole league development to raise the profile to generate money. Best of luck Mr. 777.

I guess the fact they are coming in and immediately targeting Europe shows they have ambition at least. And are putting their money where their mouths are.

I’m glad everything I’ve read says the new owners are in it for the long run... because now more than ever that has to be the case for this to work in the way they’re hoping it to. Vince has said 777 Partners have an initial 5-10 year plan, which again is positive.
I’ll be forever thinking how this would have played out in ‘normal’ circumstances, but I really hope it’s still a success in these challenging times.

Yep in normal circumstances a club with budgets to play consistently in Europe could drag the rest of the BBL upwards as well As it stands who knows where it all leads to
