Not to sure about that signing, something a bit fishy about it. Mind you we had a player called Matt Pyke a few years back.

Some increased minutes on college could see the sharks reap the rewards. I mean it looks like he was behind some true talent in the illy team so no wonder his impact was limited. Make or break for the kid.

I wouldn't actually read too much into his stats as Illinois were really deep and a top 30 college team and prob would gave gone to the tournament. He did well in his sophomore and junior year but they had a lot of talent incoming so he did not play as much.
Be interesting what the Sharks do with the final slot. In years past we have sometimes had this nonsense of keeping a slot open even when there were only 3 imports.
We need to sign a versatile 6-6 to 6-8 forward who can shoot a bit, play inside and rebound. Tough to get I know. Tuck and Marsden are not starters at all but great bench players.
Ideally it would be with what we have
G McKnight G Lewis F Nicholls F ? New import ? C Koch --- F Marsden F Tuck G Jones G/F new signing - European or Beitish shooter who can score a bit if possible...a better Ndiaye
Then
F Backovic, G Montgomery, G Brownell (assuming the latter 2 are back) just get the drinks/towels, cheerlead and never set foot on court.
Is a rotation that is a playoff team but not sure it is top 3 but depends on the other teams recruits/teams.
To me they get a really good 3/4 man and Nicholls pans out we can be solid but can't say I'm excited about bringing back 5 (8 If you count Backovic and probable returnees Montgomery and Brownell) of the 10 that was mediocre last year.
Not bothered about Ndiaye coming back but Cashew was decent. Would have preferred him to return and a different look up top the Tuck, Marsden and Koch inside lacks dynamism, foot speed and consistency. Id rather we cbsnged things up there.
We will wait to see if we sign the 4th American or have this keep it spare approach (code for we dont want to push the boat out and properly compete and won't be signing another one).
Another announcement next week...Montgomery or Brownell?! 🙄
We will see.

Maybe I spoke too soon
Final import inked.
A guy called Antwon Lillard (no relation to Damian), 6-6 SF, who played collegiately at Bowling Green. Played in the Canadian Basketball League last year. Not sure standard is that great but he was league wide rookie of the year.
So
G McKnight G Lewis F Lillard F Nicholls C Koch --- F Marsden F/C Tuck G Jones
Bench is decent IF the two new Americans work out. Least 1-4 has some speed/athleticism.
Then bench fillers...Backovic, Montgomery etc
Need one more signing who can play. Maybe another shooter.
Apparently 2 more signings to come but we will see if its Montgomery and Brownell or others.
