Im going to contradict alot of what ive said previously but why the desire to have american imports? I do believe they are needed in this league to be successful however what is wrong with teams not using them and maybe spreading the budget (not strictly true as euro/brits tend to be more expensive) wider?

I'm very concerned that we have no imports and are relying on players such as Andrew Lawrence and Ashley Hamilton..... o wait nevermind

I’m not wedded to the idea of having to have imports, I guess it just seems to be the norm in this league. If a team doesn’t sign imports, the perception is that something is wrong. I think you’re right that there’s nothing wrong in not having imports. As a Raiders fan, I’ve seen my fair share of bad (and probably cheap) imports over the past few seasons which I’d hope we would avoid going forwards. Will Raiders go for a Brit only squad? That may make things slightly easier if there are complications/uncertainties later in the season but I suspect we will see one or two import announcements next week. Let’s see, I may be wrong! |
