What does it look like for this season? Is it clubs going solo offering home game season pass and looking for away fans to pay per game or do we expect a league wide evolution of bbltv?

Hi Alma
We are looking at this as well and worked out the below, assuming you were a previous season ticket holder.
Paid £190 renewal each for season 20/21 normal cost for this would have been £250.(difference £60 each). £140 offer from the Rocks will include renewal season discount for 21/22 although not yet known how much this will be. So if looking purely at money and assuming 20 home games and the Rocks continue with the same level of yearly discount, as a couple it would be costing us £20 to watch all 20 games.

Just husband & wife season ticket holders ... no inside knowledge or conspiracy 😊 And that isn’t the most Donald and Melania answer I’ve ever seen on a BBL forum.

Eh? Now that is properly offensive! Sorry the truth is so mundane 😆

The Rocks are charging £140 to watch their games online this season had not noticed anything on their social media channels about online plans yet - so have I just missed that or is this £140 thing something that is a direct update to the folks that in summer got season tickets and there is still to be an update for the casual fans (and away team supporter) ?

Yes, it was an email from Mitchell to currently signed up season ticket holders. There were 2 options - one described the various things included in the £140 and the other was a refund (minus the booking fee). I don’t know if the first option will also be offered to non-season ticket holders who anticipate watching all the home games but PPV will be available for individual games . I asked Mitchell how much this would be and is likely to be £5 per game.

Certainly looks like each team are going to have their own approach to allowing fans to watch games at home, which will be a bit 'messy' unfortunately.
I would have much preferred a more centralised service, something like a relaunch of BBL TV (v2), with options to buy season passes for all games, all games of a specific team, and games on an individual basis. Instead it looks like games are going to be available on varying platforms and possibly at varying costs.
I've been following how Lions are going to approach this, and it looks like they're making all their home games available for free on YouTube. Yet other teams look to be approaching this with a more PPV approach via their own websites.

I think the leagues missed a trick. I feel we will see some teams being very greedy and i wouldnt be suprised if the paid streams are worse quality.

I happily paid £540 for two season tickets of the Riders, Now this includes all cup, trophy and league games, as the season starts in around a week and we obviously can’t go and watch, I expect some kind of refund from the club and not just a code to watch on line, I can have 6 people (family) at my home and we can all watch it on one code. I’m quite happy to pay to watch on line but not £540,
On another note, do the morningside arena know something we don’t, on Instagram they have posted that an evening with Tony Bellew is going ahead on 3rd December, if you can go and watch that then why not a game?

Bit of a media geek question... but why are the on screen graphics in this clip posted by the BBL on Twitter different to the on screen graphics in the coverage streamed by Lions on YouTube?
