I remember people posting here how they were happy to pay for the low grade coverage from BBL player, & that they didn't want or appreciate the betetr quality coverage from multiple live cameras and proper presentation :-) Ah that was before Sky came along and offered the masses a view of a new wonderful world of quality production, incisive thought provoking discussion and informative commentators and multi camera views that kept up with play. Oh and of course you had to pay for it!!! in fairness the availability of some games on other free Sky channels is a bonus, just not the big important ones. In fairness, all the big important ones, the finals at least, have been streamed for free on Sky Sports YouTube channel. |

This is a bit geeky I know, but I found it interesting that the BBL have been using Televideo to produce the coverage of the Quarter-Finals this week, not Buzz16. It's the same Televideo production package that was used for the finals games that were broadcast on the BBC the last few years. Apparently the BBL are going back to using Buzz16 for the Semi-Finals and Final next week.

I have an exclusive for the WhatsBev forums... The BBL returns to Sky Sports later this month for it's second season of a 2 year coverage deal.It'll return on Friday 29th October with Leicester Riders v Newcastle Eagles in the opening weekend of the BBL Championship. You heard it here first.  |

Just a reminder that the Sky Sports coverage returns tomorrow night (Friday), with Leicester Riders v Newcastle Eagles at 7pm.
The game will be live on Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports Mix (available to all Sky subscribers, not just those with a sports package), and Sky Sports YouTube channel (free for everyone).
