He turned out for GB last weekend, so why wouldn't he be available?

Did Vince say earlier in the coverage that Lions have left six players at home due to injuries?

Game already much more scrappy than the last, Lions for all their talent have been pretty consistently crap to watch

He turned out for GB last weekend, so why wouldn't he be available? Played on Friday, sat on Sunday with a hand injury, allowing Kareem Queeley to play against Montenegro.

Did Vince say earlier in the coverage that Lions have left six players at home due to injuries? Yes he did Not in the LiveStats: 1. Fahro Alihodzic 2. Josh Ward-Hibbert 3. Byron Mullens Didn't pay attention to the warm ups but everyone else made the box score. Edit: Looks like Lucas is also hurt as he got a DNP. Everyone else made it on court although Dang Akodo and Lockhart featured late.

Eagles playing tough defence but the Lions are so sloppy and giving up too many offensive rebounds

Take Robinson out of London and they would not look great.

Lions don't look like a team really, unlike Eagles. Been together since August too.

Sayers looks the weak link He will rotate back to the bench when Plueger returns from injury but I thought he managed to find ways to contribute despite a cold shooting night. 0/6 from three point range is brutal but he was active running the floor and going after rebounds, got himself some transition scores on his way to 8 points. 4 boards and 6 assists. He's going to be a useful rotation player and there will be nights where he heats up from three point range.

Scrappy but fair result - I don't know what the Sky coverage was like, but it would be hard to beat the Jeff & Dave show, with Dave giving a real insight into what each coach might/should be thinking, providing his microphone was plugged in !

Sayers looks the weak link Think that’s harsh he contributed, on another night he could be 4/6

Liggins POM!
The Sky cameras consistently caught his sulky face paying little or no attention to whatever Vince was uttering.
And Ware has the mouth but has the dental features of Albert Steptoe!
Why are the backers backing this circus?

Lions don't look like a team really, unlike Eagles. Been together since August too. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Not for the first time Fletch turned a game around in the fourth quarter. The first half had some quality moments for both teams with Lions shooting some dagger threes, Eagles were missing threes and even simple lay-ups but hard work in the paint and on the boards kept them in it. The third quarter was some of the most unmitigated dross I have witnessed on a basketball court. It would be a kindness to say it was rubbish. Fourth quarter and great defence coupled with much better offense won the day. The heart attack kids are back.
Uncle Jeff has been an Eagles legend for some time and I love listening to Dave's comments. He is probably the most qualified summariser in British basketball.

Why are the backers backing this circus? I wonder how long Vince will remain as coach. His summary on Sky was very honest and I admire that but I don't think he has what it takes to pull the players into a proper team, playing for each other. Imagine Paternostro or Newby in charge - no question they'd be much better.

Why are the backers backing this circus? was saying something similar during those timeouts and especially the final few minutes. Liggins just did not look focussed and interested - he appeared drifted off to the next game, not focussed on if this one was saveable. Yep Fletch stepped up and hit the big shots, but I think another key point was the attitude of Maxwell v Liggins Things were not going well for both for long parts of the game - however one kept plugging away, kept his head up knowing while missing easy things he was in the right place. Then in close out Maxwell saw the ball fall for him - reward for sticking at it and not going head down, defocus and drift from the game.
