We faired not to bad against Lions with hardly a bench at all,
Fraser’s been with us nearly two weeks,
So now we have strengthened I’ll put us down for a W

Riders comfortable at ht. Defence producing several easy fast break baskets particularly liked the allez oop off the backboard

Every club should offer halftime breakdown like this. Fair play surrey. Some issues with sound levels/one mic too few but it just adds continuity to the productions

The HT interviewer (Micky or Nicky?) was excellent and was as good as the guy on Sky last Thursday. Largely good 📷 again, but when are the scoreboard issues going to be sorted - whoever is handling the clock is all over the shop  |

Still too much one and done from Surrey.
Limited patience for team plays and soon onto hero ball instead.
And credit again to the coverage - great post-game interviews (though Creon n then Paternostro (unwittingly, I'm sure) rather ruined the prior careful social distancing).
But what was up with Trayvon's garb - anyone else seen the character Benny Watts on Queens Gambit?

Good job entertaining viewers at h/t. Someone said in this thread it wouldn't be pretty, implying an easy win for Riders I think. Well, it sure wasn't pretty in the second half. We ground out a win but were stuttering a lot. Crandall made a big difference but him fouling out hurt us. We are capable of much better performances than this but it was important to win.Fraser will want to forget tonight as will Johnson. Nil from 9 three point attempts. Thought we didn't go inside enough in Q3 + 4. |

Me too. I've been really impressed with how we've started the season. That was comfortably the worst we've played this season. Both teams were poor. Refs were poor. Game was dreadful. One of the worst I've seen in a while. But 1-0 is all that matters.

He makes us tick when he's on court, not that Washington did a poor job - far from it. Surrey made us sweat a bit in the second half. Moreover, having Falzon and Fraser perhaps broke up some of our usual continuity and flow. I expect both of them will contribute much more in future than they managed in this game. |

I agree, it's never easy to play well whilst trying to integrate two new players into the team.
Hopefully we'll be better at home on Monday.

BBL: please give up this bblplayer thing. Just stick it on Youtube, period.
Refs: please stop calling the tiddliest little soft fouls early on, because you know that you have to keep on doing it and it just leads to a horrible, disjointed game. I cite the second half as evidence, m'lud.

In D1 yesterday the Oaklands/Bradford game lasted 2 hours 11 minutes with 65 fouls called. One of the refs turned up with a cpl minutes left in the 1st quarter. Shocking
