Liggins was fantastic. Lions have so much depth that I can't see anyone else beating them to the league title IF they can perform consistently. Adding Spencer is rubbing salt in the wound. Their firepower is ridiculous and their defensive skill applies a ton of pressure to the opposition. Raiders did brilliantly and with Lawrence they could have taken the win. They need him back asap. Sky doing a great job with their format except for the pointless Q&A before each game with players telling us who plays the best music etc. Shrink that to 2 mins and discuss last week's games and the forthcoming game in front of the cameras. Vince's pep talk did the job with Ware and Liggins after last week's game. Both were very impressive last night. Why wasn't the latter on court in the last 3 minutes? Lions could have had egg on their faces. Justin Robinson didn’t look delighted with life mind MRF and didn’t appear to join in the post game huddle very enthusiastically either

Just watched game this morning as Lions are up in Cheshire tomorrow night. Thought I'd look for their players to watch out for who are likely to score well. Spotted about 9 of them!!! Will be very hard to take anything from tomorrow night, hope Bens worked out a counter for their full court press. Should be a good game anyway.

Drew lasker said teams need to utilise the pass more to beat the press instead of get trapped on the dribble like they even got duscha

First of all huge kudos to Sky Sports for their coverage which I thought, apart from one or two camera angle moments was excellent. Great to have a presenter like Nat who clearly understands his subject and makes the guest pundits relaxed and at ease so they can contribute in an excellent informative way. Loved Dan and Ant together as well. Professional and entertaining as always.
As for the game. Well, after the first quarter I thought there has to be something seriously wrong in the Lions camp and that Plymouth may be the real deal. Cue quarters two and three! Lions with Liggins and Ware in particular were excellent and their defence was stifling. Liggins looks a lock-in for MVP even at this early stage unless something upsets him and his ways.
Then we had the fourth! Very strange rotations for Lions, rhythm all but lost and they suddenly looked in danger. But they rallied and in the end saw the game out comfortably enough. The Robinson/Spencer dynamic may be important going forward and personally I'd give Taiwah more minutes and only rotate the bigs if he gets into trouble.
Dave Forrester said elsewhere that he thought the only team that could beat Lions was Lions himself and judging by the way they played against a Pfleuger-less Eagles last week I think that's a very relevant and informed point. So much talent to keep interested and together and that is probably the key to their season right there.
Loved Drew's point about the Physio being the most important player on the roster. I think that's so true the way the games keep coming thick and fast with little rest time in between. What's that expression? Survival of the fittest? May never be more appropriate.

Lawrence didn’t play and has not once. So how many games has he missed already? Mr T says he did not train on Thursday. So other teams are getting players in on short term contracts, so why aren’t Raiders doing the same. This has been an ongoing problem with Lawrence for some time. So is the connection with Turkey a possibility, or and experience US player waiting for a Gig somewhere.
