Most of this I think was already out there - but for any Rocks fans who miss the post game interviews, the rumours and the speculation, hopefully they see this article from Gareth and puts things into context. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/rocks-player-coach-gareth-murray-23240473I think it was clear from the initial squad what the purpose was - I am sure the owner will still get stick from some flanks still through the season, but given the constant on the breadline status of most pro and semi-pro sport in Scotland and the uncertainty back in the summer and early autumn, not sure he had many options and I'm sure most would rather see a season of survival than one of build on last season and end up bust. The arrival of a grant does look like it ill be a more competitive season than might have been.

Gareth mentions a grant for Rocks in his interview. Not certain if it's a loan or a grant that Rocks are in line for.

Scot gov money is a grant. 300k was for basketball in scotland and being only 1 of 2 'pro' teams a large majority of thatbwould have gone to the rocks.

The DCMS when it comes to sport announce for England + Wales and Westminster transfers a % to Scot Gov who can then decide themselves how to spend their share. fortunately they did see pro basketball as a recipient of a grant
