For goodness sake Jimmylad, if Riders lose one more game, they would have FOUR losses whilst Lions would still have FIVE losses, one more than Riders. Correct, riders move to 4 loses with a trip to Lions to come... lions have it back in their hands. Beat Riders and level it a 5 losses each with the H2H to boot. Correct? |

Great game but Nelson Henry proves the difference, it's the one issue with Lions team, simply not consistent or strong enough inside, unable to cope with a good big man. I said it weeks ago & it's still true, Riders have the league title. They did weeks ago |

Terrific weekend. Great win. Great contributions from a bunch of guys.
Edges us in front in the title race. One win in London away from the title. Points on the board a big thing too. Scoreboard pressure. Most years you just look at losses but with how competitive the league is this year and the number of games Lions still have to play. No guarantee they win those games in hand. Both teams still have tough games to play though.
Less important but Geno edges ahead in MVP race too. He goes 4-10 and 50% from the line and still comfortably the best player on the court. A lot of people subscribe to best player on the best team. And at the minute he is most definitely that. 2 man race and get the feeling that it will go with the league winner. What a weekend for Geno though. I know a lot of people dont buy in to +/- as out of context or one off they can be very misleading. But not across the season with guys like Geno. He was +50 this weekend. Against Newcastle and London. +50. Riders are borderline unstoppable when he is on the floor.

Have to say that Liggins was horribly good too. Just a bit concerning that opponents may be wising up that Crandall can be goaded into costly technical fouls. His major Achilles heel.

Has Lockharte retired? What’s happened to Lucas? Spencer injured? London will hammer Plymouth of course in the Trophy final but they’d have to judge the season as a big failure surely? Don’t be so sure on that! Plymouth is 1 hell of a team this season... |
