If this is about Liggins then surely the last of him in London? Can’t really think that else it could be about Oh the drama Interesting situation if this relates to Liggins. If the coach/player relationship has deteriorated to such an extend that the team's (arguably) star player is refusing to play, then in the NBA the coach would likely be replaced very quickly. But in the BBL it'd likely be the player who would be replaced and sent home for breach of contract. What makes this situation so interesting is that Lions now have American owners... so could we see the NBA scenario occur in the BBL?

The difference is that the star player in the NBA is virtually unreplaceable. If Luka falls out with Rick Carlisle, Mavs will never get full value for him in a trade or replace him with a free agent. Lions can cut their losses (it's clearly breach of contract), save six weeks money and get a better player next year. Plus Vince is a minority owner. Obviously if they want to change the coach it's a great excuse but I imagine it's more likely that Vince will be moved to a "director of coaching" role in the summer.

If Lions wish to secure more silverware this season I can't see them cutting Liggins - even if he WAS the player who refused to play. He's that important to them.

Absolutely, I expect Vince to retain his 'Director of Basketball' role... and so he should, there are few that have his experience and know British basketball better than him, and that's a real asset to these new American owners - they need him on the ground running things. It's his role as Head Coach which I think has a questionable future, rightly or wrongly.

Agree, a great asset. Apparently he helped Guildgod (now Surrey) to set up a few tests ago, so if true, I am grateful for that.

Don’t think Vince was in the wrong re. Liggins behaviour. (Although I guess he should prob have considered his previous behaviour in terms of fitting in a team)?
More ‘info’ (shoot mi down why dontcha).
After Liggs threw a strop- it was him and JRob in a stand of resulting in female coach being told to f*** off b****c or suchlike.
Surprised she didn’t flatten him herself but result was he sat game out.
What happens next-no idea

But if he really said that to Andrea I imagine he's got a busted nose to match Robinson's and is also speaking in a considerably higher voice. I'm not sure how Liggins comes back from this. In my (thankfully) limited experience once a player really lets his team down, the rest of the squad won't trust. I think Ware's comment - effectively blowing the whole thing into the open - shows how much he was pissed off. To throw a team-mate (and fellow American) under the bus suggests he's happy for him to be run over. As for Vince i think it can be argued that he's been around long enough to deserve a second season, especially considering that plague ruined both Europe and their Cup final chances. Winning the play-offs might be just about enough for his American Over-Lords, especially as Yanks generally rate that higher than the league.

Well, he came back & he played, although relatively limited minutes. If some of the stuff that has been posted was true, I can't see how he would be playing.
