its all in riders hands - but it is far from over and good job the coaches are in that mindset if not the fans
you don't even need a 'shock' result to happen seriously - would anyone call a loss to the current form of Raiders or Eagles a shock? Nope and if those were to happen and Lions remain on 7 losses - then the Lions/Riders game could have so much meaning
a single 'shock' loss plus losses to Eagles/Raiders and suddenly its not just Lions who are interested in how a Lions/Riders fixture goes
there is still a lot more to play for than just jostling for play-off positions imho

dandayr - I have to disagree.
The league title has already been won by (boring, boring) Leicester and Paternoster is just saying the right things.
If there was any chance at all of them slipping up in any significant way then being "pumped" by inconsistent Bristol last week will certainly have the effect of concentrating their minds.
It is only now about the jostling for placings in the far more prestigious competition that commences in a few weeks.
Have the league title Leicester, no one cares except you lot. But everyone will care about the Playoff Title - get back to me if you garner that comp rather than the "minor premiership"

I actually think this is quite a big game. Still think we will be alright if Geno is back for the run in but after this we have Lions, Eagles, Wolves and Phoenix to play (all teams that have beaten us this year) and Raiders who are the in form team at the minute. If we don't beat Giants and Lions win out we would need to go 4-0 in those other games to guarantee the title. Which is not a given with Geno never mind without.
A lot of ifs in there. Still fancy Lions to drop a game with the number of fixtures they have but they have the talent and depth to put a run together.
Without wanting to go too far in to the yearly playoff v league debate, particularly given there is another thread for it, those teams near the top really want the league. I can understand those people fighting for playoff seeding down the bottom wanting to focus on that and not the league. But the big teams want the league. And the majority of their fans do too.
Obviously we also want the play off final too. Something we have accomplished far more boringly for the rest of you over the past few years than the league. Victory this year would mean no one else has held the trophy for half a decade. And the aggregate score of 70+ over the last 3 titles can't have been amazing viewing for the neutral. Even if we loved it.

Think that's a pretty strange judgement.

Very important to keep Lions at bay by winning against Giants. Otherwise the ship is taking on water just when we need plain sailing, especially as we are without Crandall.

Satchell 5/5 from the perimeter, got to put a leash on him.

Happy Easter everyone! Satchel was fantastic and Giants certainly put us under pressure but a win is a win AND we saw Mo Walker on court plus Geno Crandall. What's not to like?

Another game, another victory.
Winning over 83% of their league games, despite having key players missing for several games.
This could, possibly, be the best league performance by a Riders team.

Without Geno, we'd have lost that, IMO

Riders usually throw out the kids when the leagues won and lose a few, whats the least amount of losses they've won the league with?

Without Geno, we'd have lost that, IMO Without Satchell the game would have been over by half time.

Not sure on the total number of losses, that is partly dependent on how the fixtures are scheduled, but I feel this season the consistency has been exceptional. Obviously the side have to keep winning, but they have been in a really strong position all season, something the week by week winning percentage table does show.

William Lee was massive for us this afternoon. His ability to score, dunk and block shots was great to watch. Heron is also a player who's proving his worth with each passing game. If they can all stay healthy we'll be a challenge for anyone.

. If they can all stay healthy we'll be a challenge for anyone. Think all teams would be able to say that!! Wonder if its to do with the unique stresses put on players having to stay in a lockdown situation or the increase in players on court 2/3/4 times in a short space of time of 10 days?

Satchell was just brilliant in that game. Riders left him open too many times for my liking, but well done to him.
