Why don't you ask Vince? After all, you're mates with everyone at Lions. He's coached 40 plus games without being made to wear one. What fantasy island do you live on? I reckon I ‘know’ about 3 people at London . And Vince very loosely from Brixton days when I was a lad. I didn’t even know Youngblood was coaching there until last week. I still reckon he will end up at Leopards though coaching or investing (Vince not Yungblood

Can’t see London not going through though- definitely having a bet on it.
Anyone agree or think 12 points too tall an order for Plymouth?

History suggests only 1 team has ever recovered from a 12 point first leg loss in the playoffs

Probably the worst I've seen Lions play in months, and I have to give Raiders at least some credit for that. I think Justin Robinson was the only consistent all-rounder, and then he got into foul trouble and had to sit a lot of the game out. Can Lions win by 13+ next time.... I certainly think it's do-able, but I also think it's going to be very difficult. Great night of exciting basketball. Let's do it all again on Thursday.

Some stats, courtesy of Dan Routledge...
In 166 two-leg ties in the history of the BBL, only twice has a team comeback from 12+ down after the first game.
However in all six Lions games against Raiders this season they've had leads, at some point during the game, bigger than 12 in 3 of them (20+, 21+ and 16+).

Great effort by Raiders who took London's game away from them and played Raider ball. London have huge firepower so anything can happen but Plymouth now have a great chance.

Raiders played with far more fire in their bellies than Lions. They outworked Lions massively and forced them into a poor shooting night. The stat of only 2 teams ever to come back from a 12 point deficit amazes me, winning each quarter of the 2nd leg by 3 points doesn't sound particularly improbable. The 2nd leg is going to be fascinating, can Lions up the tempo and hit their 3's or will Raiders lock down on defence again and advance to the final.

finally got the chance to watch this last night - PJ certainly had a game plan that worked at both ends of the court. Excited to stay tuned in and watch this 2nd leg as well after hopefully enjoying the Eagles/Riders first.
going to throw in a theory - Lions are so focussed on their set plays and moving the ball quick round the perimeter that when they have spent a week training against themselves, when they come up against a team that drives inside at them, that puts in place some post play - they come up cold and take too long to adapt again. As the season closed out they were fine as they were facing other sides and styles every 2 or 3 days - so will be interesting to see if the can do better d and then launch their own offense off it.

If Lions have one of their good games tonight, which we know they're more than capable of and have had many of in recent weeks, then they'll win by 13+ and get through to the final. But if they have one of their bad games, or even one of their average games, it's not going to be good enough.

The beauty of games being recorded means you can go back and compare them to statcast...
Looks like they called a foul on Parker that was actually committed by Tawiah...

No problems with losing that
Simply put losing Ibeh and Ubiaro has cost us. Lions are too good and too deep. You basically lose 3 top players in Parker Alihozic and Robinson at the start of the fourth and you bring in walker ward Hibberd ware ect. It's why regardless of the league standings London are the best side in the BBL. I haven't even mentioned liggins you can tell he played with LeBron in Cleveland the best player in the league but so unselfish and there when they need a bucket.
I honestly feel if we had Ibeh we may have won but fair play to London

when London click they are a good side to watch. especially in P1 when they were running the floor and they were setting up d very high. latter parts of the game they ran the floor well again, but never seemed to go back to the high line and (pardon the football type description) they defended a lot deeper and that let Plymouth stay in the game a lot longer than the initial spell made it look like the way the game would go.
got to feel for Robinson. hope it is not as bad as it did look from his face when first off court - you want to see the best guys in the big games and in the minutes Vince game him pre-injury, he showed his class and importance.
don't like the play that caused the injury either

I don't think it was a shining example of how to win an aggregate game of basketball, but nevertheless a 20 point win is never a bad thing.
A lot of talk about Liggins, but for me Robinson was the MVP of the game. Such a shame it looks like he's going to miss the Final after playing such a major role in the Semi-Finals. Good interview from Liggins after the game though, and he was certainly a very close 2nd in the Semi-Final MVP stakes. The big disappointment was Dirk Williams... just not the same standard of play we've come to expect from him all season. Hopefully he'll find his groove again for the Final. It'll be needed without Robinson on the court.

Thought Spencer made a big impact at crunch time influencing things at both ends of the court with his energy. Must have missed this somewhere else but where was Ware?

Lions moved the ball superbly, especially in the first quarter but Raiders defense went AWOL too many times. Washington stumbled to his knees at the top of the arc but still had time to jump up and nail his shot. I feel really sorry for Robinson who was my MVP, love to see him match up with Fletch. Now on to Sunday.

Youtube video that shows the play:
You can see Parker just below the free throw line when the foul is committed on a layup.
