If only he had an ounce of the talent he thinks he has! So this isn't attacking him then??

I feel like this is a terrible move for both parties. Jordan needs minutes and Lions need reliable veteran/experienced backups if their going to do anything.

I've said plenty about players/coaches/teams/owners. Difference is, I don't hide who I am.
Over the past 25 years of watching BBL, I've criticised many, I've praised many, I've pissed off quite a few but I've owned all of those comments.
I'm not pretending to know players & then make snide little remarks about them whilst hiding who I am.
DTB- if you can't own your own thoughts & comments, I'd suggest you don't bother making any.

Thought he was very very average at best last year. If only he had an ounce of the talent he thinks he has! Still hope he recovers that early prospect talent he had โthe future of British Basketballโ as he was called as a 17 year old so does that mean you are glad he is back - or you wish they had not announced this? its not clear from your post thought when he was given the minutes in the Lions games I saw he added to them, not detracted would have been happy to see him pop up as a new player at any club I follow - good move by Lions if they are going to utilise him better

Precisely who was it that once called Jordan Spencer 'the future of British basketball'? His mum? He wasn't even a Div 1 college player.
Don't remember him getting injured whilst at Riders but I could be wrong. Couldn't fault his effort but he wasn't enormously effective. Did have a promising 2018/19 season at Lions but it's been all down hill since then. Jump shot has completely deserted him. I doubt he plays much. If Vince is deploying the 'kid in a candy store' approach to recruitment again this summer and intending to begin the season with 16 rostered players I imagine he'll be one of the guys left at home on their European adventures.
So perhaps there was something in Vince's brown nosing rambles about Fletcher at last season's playoff final? I won't have much company here but if he is their final American I'm not sure I'm all that impressed. In my view a good signing for every other team in the BBL isn't necessarily a good signing for Lions. Think they're shopping in a different market to the rest of us. They'll need to be if they're going to achieve what they said they were setting out to do last year. I think we can very safely assume they'll be a strong BBL team. But doing something worth mentioning in Europe is surely the goal. And unless they've got an extremely strong British contingent still to announce (Mullens again, perhaps?), I'm not convinced they're shaping up to be stronger than they were at the start of last season. When, let's not forget, they couldn't beat an eminently beatable, cost-cutting Neptunas side.

Good signing for me- obviously happy coming off the bench at lions due to Europe/cash and would be a starter at most bbl teams. Would also be a solid back up PG at most euro cup teams IMO if heโs in good form- clearly until the last month of last season he wasnโt but I think he could be important for lions this year and more comfortable when taking JDA minutes too. For me the issue last year was that they had both those guys when one playing consistently would have been far betterโฆ who knows though.

I would agree with that to be honest. Losing Fletcher would be catastrophic for the Eagles and I would be gutted. But I'm not sure he is really the step up Lions would need to compete in Europe. Hope we never find out!

They aren't going to waste it on another backup for Justin.

Letโs see how he goes this season. Plenty of guys with his stats at d2 have gone on to have strong careers in Europe, heโs got the talent to do it IMO. I like how of all the things that are said on this board youโd class this as crazy haha

Hopefully totally wrong but I don't understand this signing. Surely Lions need a big bruising 4 for the European spot, not a small forward who doesn't seem to have exactly set the world alight up until now. Unless he somehow has a British passport it looks it could be a waste of a signing, but I'll be very happy to be proved completely wrong yet again.

US born with an Italian passport definitely taking the Euro spot. Brits outside of JR are going to be so important now. Most active high profile national team level Brits (unless I'm having a brain blank), bar the two ex Raiders seem to have already signed with clubs now.
