This is possibly the worst Eagles performance I have ever witnessed(assuming no miracle in the last 4 mins).

Terrible Eagles performance, worst I've seen for a long time. Flyers went big early and we just couldn't complete.

Haven't watched any of the game yet but can't believe that this is essentially the same team that played that 55 minute thriller that I saw last weekend.

Fletcher played limited minutes, why ? Game was done with 5 minutes to go and was getting a bit chippy, not worth risking an injury to the ONLY player on the team who can create. Bristol didn't even have to be that good tonight, and weren't. They rocked up with a gameplan and executed it, Eagles didn't respond at all. It looked like they thought they could just turn up and win tonight. So frustrating to watch after last week. Purely a case of being 'locked in' or not.

Well this is certainly turning into a season I'm starting to want to forget. After looking like we were about to become contenders again after last week I can not believe what I just witness from the Eagles. I could rant so hard right now Fab Flournoy could probably hear it. Firstly well done to the Flyers and coach K who were the better team tonight. Despite the game being physical and I'm impressed a fight never broke out they completely had our number. Just like against Sheffield we looked lost and completely fell apart in the 2nd half. Not having Louis Sayers and Johnson-Thompson was a big miss but even still we were capable of playing better. Threw the ball away to many times, missed opportunities and frustrations got the better of the Eagles. I can only hope that for prides sake we will do to Leicester what we did against London and back in spectacular fashion. But after that game and how Leicester embarrassed us last time on Sky I think we're more likely to get a repeat of our last match at the Morningside if not worse. For what was meant to be our Christmas cracker game which I noticed afew empty seats for again round the arena. To sum it up I think we need to ask Santa for a better game plan before Cheshire at home as we looked clueless tonight.

One final observation, and an ironic one. Eagles appear to have no Plan B.

Please please please let the cricket go well overnight. Otherwise my dog is going to get walked off his feet in the morning after that shocker.

One final observation, and an ironic one. Eagles appear to have no Plan B. Shut down the transition game and you beat the Eagles. It really is that simple. The offence has been horrible to watch most of the season, the London game apart. About as frustrating as it gets tonight. Looks like we're stuck with this team till the end of the season now, expecting more nights like this to be honest.

All teams have bad days at the office. Was really surprised to see the result after last weekend's games. Eagles appear to be consistently inconsistent this season.

In that case we are having a lot of bad days at the office. Cannot decide if this loss was worse then the one to Sheffield as atleast we were trying to shoot from other areas on the floor and not just under the basket. Even the Scorchers and Patriots could have gotten their first wins if they played us last night. Anyone would wonder if the Eagles had a Christmas party the night before we were that bad. At this point I don't know what the problem is for why the team isn't executing? Is it the coach? Have we recruited the wrong players? After 10+ games we still look like we don't know how to play as a team. After last week's empathatic win over the Lions on Sky I was hoping for another packed house and new fans to come in. Safe to say last night they didn't miss much.

If this was a football match the authorities would be looking at betting patterns. No I am not suggesting we deliberately threw the game but one of the best weekends of basketball I can remember followed by that. It just does not compute. The perils of being a fan eh?
As for the empty seats that could be down to covid. Cases are soaring in Newcastle and many folks will not take a chance.

I think the slightly smaller crowd was possibly due to the fact the fixture had only been arranged about 3 weeks ago.
Newcastle get good crowds but they don't just rock up to the arena, it takes a lot of hard work and planning to fill the arena and I would imagine a lot of that work is done weeks in advance with groups. The North and South stands tend to mainly school groups, satellite clubs etc. With only 3 weeks to prepare I guess it's hard to arrange stuff like that.

Safe to say last night they didn't miss much. Don't think your recruitment was particularly good this year. Seeing Peel interviewing on the BBL site he admits he's only 60-70 % where he wants to be. Presumably Eagles management are only paying him 60-70% of his agreed salary until he's 100%. I thought that he really struggled coping with both Ochereobia and Dickerson last weekend against us, he was sat down for quite a time when things got very close. Having to rely so much on dear old Defoe isn't really a long term solution.
