Its just an opinion. Defensively was the bigger issue really. They allowed Mcrae to get so many good looks at the hoop despite their superior length. It was really 1 guy that did the damage, constantly driving the body, I mean ball, to the hoop and pulling up for those little shots.
Shame really as they had the game in their grasp. As mentioned above...if only Taylor had driven the body on that final play they might have snatched it at the death.
Was a good game to watch and looked a good night out for the fans.

Watching the press conference after the game both coaches made a point about the 24 offensive rebounds grabbed by Hapoel as the major reason for the result.

Wow. That is a lot.
I have not forensically analysed the respective heights of the two teams but on TV Lions seemed the taller/longer group.

So Lions get rid of Clark and Barking Abbey! Doesn't look good for British Basketball both in timing and as a progression path for future British talent.

It's a crazy decision from a crazy organisation. I doubt a week goes by without someone being replaced (I'm amazed just how long I worked for them) but this one really is crazy. Some more thoughts. |

What was the issue with the Trophy result? 52-50?
Not seen many games that low scoring recently!
What happened? Did London play their usual main players?
Seems like a bad way to go out of a domestic comp

Now caught doing dodgy and suspended following an investigation
It’s common I know but a professional sportsman shouldn’t be caught doing that stuff - I thought it was mainly hedge funders and Kell Brook.

Niaively I actually googled it presuming it would be all over the internet or at least twitter....but nothing.
Clearly something has happened at Lions as pro athletes don't leave a team when they are under contract just because they are injured. In fact that is one of the times they almost definitely don't leave a team.
Soko strikes me as having a touch of the "Kyries" about him.

Yep. As a cover story, it is barely plausible. But once again DTB has posted stuff he can't back up and changed the narrative to being about him.
Likewise, everything I read from Joe seemed to be about Lions' organisation. Real players don't normally slag each other off in public. They leave that to fantasist wannabes.
There's always stuff going on behind the scenes at clubs that doesn't get reported. But Lions seem particularly disfunctional and unable to stop the world finding out about it. Even their Trophy exit seems odd, it's as if they think by binning the game in Scotland they'll undermine the Trophy (there's plenty of noise that they think it's one competition too many) so much it won't continue. In reality I suspect people are pleased they won't do a clean sweep.
