Welcome Phoenix 4! I think you'll find most of us are in the same boat...apart from Interested Riders Fan Yep I'm certainly the most knowledgeable, unbiased and grounded poster on here Anything you don't understand about tactics or style of play. Or whenever you need a balanced opinion on a team, player or coach I'm your man!

Hi everyone- glad to finally stumble on this forum.
Long time BBL fan going back to the days of Calderdale Explorers (where I grew up), to Cheshire Phoenix (Uni) to Surrey Scorchers (where I live now). Can be found there most games with my daughter. Wishing LiveBasketball.tv had a record feature so I can watch more games...

I used to be a childhood friend of an ex full back of yours - Stephen Darby. He's just, at the age of 29, been diagnosed with motor-neurone disease - its a real horror story.

Stephen Darby is a real hero of mine - he was a tremendous player, under-stated but extremely talented. He was part of one of the most successful City teams ever with promotion and the league cup final. If you haven't seen it check out the youtube video of him on the fans bus after we beat Chelsea. (Link here but not sure if this forum allows it) What has happened to him is horrific. He was back at Valley Parade on Saturday where he got a great welcome.

Your footballer clip has reminded me of Jason Cummings who my team (Forest) signed. An absolute nutter. He's at Peterborough now doing well. This is funny!

May as well introduce myself. Hi, I’ve loosely lurked on these forums over the years but thought I’d finally get involved.
I grew up supporting Thames Valley Tigers from 99/00 until the club folded. Like many other former TVT fans, I followed Guildford Heat for some years but finally lost interest when they moved from the Spectrum and rebranded. Essentially when PJ left and the last Bracknell link went with him.
I also used to watch my local team Kingston Wildcats a lot when they were playing out of Tolworth and my old man was an avid Kingston Kings fan back in the day.
I’ve only been to the odd match in the past 10 years but a few Euro trips (Munich, Malaga) rekindled my love for the sport and have started watching London City Royals, as well as taking in the odd London Lions game.
Looking forward to posting and visiting more clubs local to me, including Worthing and Reading, soon. Any fans of either on here?

That's interesting re Guildford as I lost interest when they left the Spectrum too! My local lot Solent are worth a watch. I used to watch a lot of Worthing a few years back so keep an eye out for their results too.
