The Titans Trophy is coming to the Copper Box in Stratford this Friday 22nd September 2017 and we still have seats left for this exciting match up. All UK basketball fans .. Please come along to see ZALGIRIS KAUNAS (Euroleague Regular Season Team and Multi-Lithuanian champions) -v- TWARDE PIERNIKI TORUN (Runners up Polish league 16/17). The provisional rosters from both sides are in and both teams are scheduled to have players from their respective EuroBasket national squads on display, as well as France and Serbia. Plus some faces from the USA, Canada, Senegal ... This is a true international contest!! The coaches could not be more interesting either with legend Šarūnas Jasikevičius set to command Zalgiris taking on Dejan Mihevc who can boast spells at Krka Nove Mesto, Grosuplje and the rather more local Essex Leopards for the Polish squad. Please come along on Friday 22nd September 2017 - Start 19.00 but be in your seats early for the pre-game build up!! More information and tickets at www.queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk/whats-on/events/2017/09/basketball-titans-trophy

Looks expensive! We are having a long weekend in London visiting my daughter at Uni. Is this an annual event?
Why in London? Many tickets sold?
Good luck with it - guess it's been advertised heavily in the Polish and Lithuanian areas of London?

Will the Lithuanian team make it to the match?
Or will they pullout last minute?

Tickets are going quite well and we should be nicely filled although we will have room for some more ... As seen on another post, we want to get some youth basketball fans from the local clubs involved too, so if you know anyone, please get them to contact us and we will do our best.
Hopefully it will be an annual event.
You are quite right. The match has mainly been advertised in the Polish and Lithuanian press in London and the venue was the obvious choice for the big game!
Unfortunately, ticket prices are dictated by the costs of the bringing two international teams to London with flights, hotels, etc. and the supporting show.
Thanks again for your good wishes

In what way? It would be a rip off if they brought a bunch of scrubs, but I'd say it's just expensive. But if you're a Lithuanian/Pole living in London, it's a chance to see a club from your own country. But the irony isn't lost on me that a week after Lituanica bit the dust there will be 2-3000 Lithuanians watching a game in london
