England looked like a bunch of individuals not a team. They couldn't handle the zone and couldn't shoot well. Scotland were the opposite. Guess that's the advantage of many playing together regularly as Rocks. Never felt as if England were threatening to win the game. Lot of work to do there.

Small thing I've noticed, on the Scotland shirts, the number design is the same one that was used in Scottish football a few seasons ago.

Going back to the point of eligibility, Bigz, Who could you have played for at the Commonwealth Games, just England? I remember browsing a website called RealGM, it was during the Tigers last season when I was trying to find a name for that out of shape lad youse had, I'm guessing RealGM isn't factually accurate because it claims you were born in Liverpool but not Liverpool, England but rather Liverpool, New South Wales, Australia. Don't know why I'm bringing it up but it's a case of curiosity, nothing sinister I can assure you. basketball.realgm.com/player/Chris-Bigley/Summary/43087Granted it hasn't been updated as it still has you at Tigers. Sorry mate just an error on their part - born and bred in Liverpool England. Would be England or NI (mother’s side). Internationally ROI as well (dad’s side). That said, I’m Scouse, not English.... we’re different to the rest of the country.

England's women play Canada (who've sent only one player I've ever heard of, so it's at best their reserves) at 9.30am tomorrow morning, by the way. Hopefully that England team will be a bit more cohesive, seeing as most of them have played together for GB.

In fact there's a pretty easy puff piece there for somebody to write/film: Georgia Jones is on the England women's team, and both her brother and fiance (I think. Definitely her 'significant other') are on the men's team. Well they cleared up that boyfriend/fiance confusion: I'm willing to bet that the clip they show of that on Games Today on the BBC will last longer than whatever highlights they show of the two England games last night.

Congratulations to them both! It must've been an amazing moment, and popping the question when they're together at a tournament like this seems like a great idea...

It would have been a little bit funnier.
Seriously, surely you'd never do this if you didn't think you'd get a yes.

Many times ladies who are proposed to in public like this say yes in public but then the next day say no!! Lol But I'm not suggesting that's the case here at all! These two go back a long time and seem to be a great couple

I take it the Pools were seeded then? - Its seems strange that the winner and runner up of Pool B have to play a qualifying round to get to the Semi final??

And to bring Georgia back to earth, her team are 33 down against Australia at half time

Yeah, top-four teams in Pool A, next four in Pool B. So first and second in A go straight into the semis, and 3rd/4th in A play-off with 1st/2nd in B to get through to the semis. Presumably the format's intended to make the group stages a little more competitive than they would be in a regular balance, although we've still seen some monumental blowouts. With Canada sending reserve teams it's left the Aussies with minimal competition.

That's the one! What's he doing now? He has a barber shop (hair type, not quartet!) in Ellesmere Port, not far from where the Nix play as it goes.

With Canada sending reserve teams it's left the Aussies with minimal competition. The fact that they had to "fix" the draw sums up why there really wasn't any point in this. If there's not eight vaguely competitive teams and all of the better sides are missing their best players, why bother?

Just noticed the men's and women's 'qualifying finals' (essentially quarter-finals) overlap each other tomorrow. Seems a bizarre piece of scheduling, and doesn't help our chances of getting BBC coverage of the games.

Well - that's good - after all the Pool Games being at a reasonable time (in our time) - The Scotland v Australia game is scheduled for 01.00 am on Saturday.
