West Ham breach anti doping rules :-
I actually think this is relevant to bbl basketball (in light of recent events) and all sport I reckon
Breaking news is that West Ham have broken anti doping rules by failing to provide whereabouts of players on three separate occasions for random drugs testers and are facing charges and punishment
I remember Christine Ohorugu committed the same offence as an individual and got a one year ban from competing as a result
Thats what happens to individuals.
Imo the individuals are way more likely to mess up with providing the info as well
Its inexcusable for a club with the resources of West Ham to not follow the rules
And like I say any individual sportsman gets the book thrown at them for the exact same offence and restricted from being able to compete
It's going to be really interesting what the punishment is for this
If it's just a fine then if I was Ohorugu and all the other sportsmen who've been banned for the same offence I would be asking big big questions
Can't have one rule for the small guys and another one for the big guys surely?
Automatic relegation might come into this?

It all comes down to money, which is a shame.
If you have the money, then you get the best lawyers.
Naughty Boy/Girl, fine, slap on the wrist ... don't do it again ... Hmmm!!
You are are correct and it's not a fair system* ... It's all subjective, I suppose
*but then again, who said life was fair ... I'm thinking of Anton Grady ? ... Hmmm!!

Official statement from West Ham.........
A West Ham spokesman said: "We would like to make it clear that the breach is a club administrative matter and does not concern any of our players."
My understanding is that it is down to office staff cocking up the forms that contained the players whereabouts.
Nothing to to see here..........

Nothing to to see here.......... this whole rule is about making sure you do the forms correctly and take it seriously??? there was no suggestion Ohorugu took drugs or did anything wrong except not be where she said she would be on her forms. But she's banned for a year. and cocking up once or twice should mean you don't let it happen a third time like I say any individual saying they cocked up still gets a ban

Man City and Bournemouth were both guilty of the same thing last season.........35k fine. That would be the equivalent of fining Ohorugu £35 Its nothing at all to the clubs Its a career to the individuals that make the same mistake The ban tarnished her career forever

Apparently it was one of the office clerks responsibility to write the players whereabouts on the relevant form. They just got bored with writing "treatment table" and decided to write something witty instead.

Being honest it's a crying shame how Andy Carroll's career as a professional hospital patient has been blighted by having to play football every so often
