With all the political correctness in the world now here is something I can really support at last
In US they have the NRA (National Rifle Association) that are pro everybody having a gun etc and have lots of big business support and funding
Overnight there's been some domino effect where people have inundated US businesses that back NRA and forced them to withdraw the backing. The businesses have all been threatened by consumer boycotts etc if they don't cut links. Big companies all lining up to make their own statements disassociating from NRA overnight. Several politicians previously pro NRA having to also make statements withdrawing or lessening their support already due to pressure from their constituents . The power of social media is enormous right now.
Headline news in the BBC right now as the public mood in US is swinging quite significantly to make changes happen. And politicians being forced to change their views as well.
Theres a chance being pro guns in US might become as embarrassing for public figures as sexual harassment!
As we've seen recently the way the world works right now means public mood can change things quicker than ever.
All of a sudden it's embarrassing and financially dangerous to be a business in U.S. that supports NRA
sadly they will almost need more shootings to see the domino effect continue. But the fact is they will happen until something really significant changes over there
The fact the protest is been driven by social media is partly down to teenagers being masters at it! As its teenagers leading the debate.

The tide will never truly turn. As a country they're a car crash. If ever there was a country that does more to self harm itself than the US I've yet to find it. Pity.

Here's a thought.........
If your child hits another child with a stick, do you:-
A. Give everybody sticks
B. Give certain kids sticks who are adept with sticks to defend everyone else
C. Take away the stick

Instead of taking away his Xbox, you need to whup his a$$ at 2k / FIFA / Fortnite until he's too embarrassed to play |

Think the idea of solving the problem by arming teachers is one of the stupidest I’ve ever heard. Any solution that puts guns in schools on a regular basis is no solution at all for me. As for the protests and the resulting companies distancing themselves from the NRA, I think it’s encouraging to see public opinion move and have some positive effect, but so far it’s changed no laws and removed very few guns from the streets? How long-term will the effects be?

As a teacher I'm shocked by the idea of giving teachers guns. I lose my pen, iPad, highlighter at least 8 times a day, I'd never know where my gun is!

Americans will never learn, if only they had a President with cajones who would stand up to these gun lobbyists and either bring in stricter gun controls or eradicate them.
If guns can't be used in a sensible manner then why should they be allowed into the hands of people who are known to police.
The only way to end gun crime is simple, get rid of the 2nd Amendment, sadly it will never happen in our lifetime butI hope they finally see sense one day.
