Liangelo ball isn't going to be a laker to no one's surprise he wasn't drafted and he's not even making summer league, with his connections to Vince and the lions I wonder if he will end up somewhere like the lions? Or a broader question would anyone have him at your bbl team, Lavar brings problems but he also would bring exposure to the UK basketball scene and that club in question!! Bearing in mind he has proven he can score at a decent level in Europe!

They bring the wrong sort of exposure imo. Non fans would just think it makes the sport look amateurish and low brow. Lavars ball is basketball's equivalent of TOWIE or Geordie Shore.

True at the early stages but lavar had the attention he needed and has nie stopped. Has anything negative came from the lions game? Nope! Postives include A huge crowd for a game in the middle of a nightmare schedule A livestream of a bbl team game to literally millions of people Nba players talking about our league Their wikipedia page pixture has the lions on it. With the amount of t shirts sold too i wouldnt be suprises to see a bbb sponsorship.
Its easy to hate lavar, he literally invites hatred to him, but hes actually doing really really well and raising the profile of his boys and wherever they play

I agree to an extent. I think a large section of society craves that kind of "entertainment" though. There's money to be made.

I'm not sure he played for long enough in Lithuania to get a work permit. He certainly doesn't qualify through his college "career".
He'd get Lions some publicity but it would soon wear off

I was an out and out footie fan until I went to my first game many years ago. Having. never played the game I’m still learning the refinements 20 years on. If the balls bring them in bring on the balls. 20 30 cricket is the wrong type of cricket to me but it’s growing the game. I’d take Llangello and Lamello.[id take the father as well. He might talk rubbish but does anyone listen or care.br]Non fans won’t go anyway and I did t have a clue who the balls were until the grand kids told me. What’s Towie and Geordie Shore? Seriously I’ve never heard of them.

I do have to agree with this Yes - anything involving these guys would be a short term mini circus and probably going to end in tears Buts it capable of bringing more fans to watch a BBL game for the first time or even make these fans realise there is professional basketball in BBL than 10 year of all the BBL's current marketing combined Like the poster says it won't stop existing fans supporting their own teams etc. There's not actually a lot of damage that can be done Let's be honest - there is very little to damage

I love that no one is even talking about whether these guys would be good BBL players. They have a famous idiot father therefore we want them on our team.
If it's all just about generating publicity why don't Lions sign Caitlyn Jenner. Or one of the Chuckle Brothers. That would turn some heads and get people talking about the BBL. Would do wonders for the club and the league I'm sure.

My understanding was that the Chuckle Brothers were great passing point guards. Only trouble was they would only pass to each other....." to me, to you, to me to you"!
