Lets hope we have more British teams competing in the Basketball Champions League Qualifications Round like Leicester Riders 🐎 have in 2019-20 next season either Newcastle Eagles 🦅 or Plymouth Raiders 🦊 if one of them teams is the champion of the British Basketball League this season plus Newcastle Eagles played against 2 tough Belgium 🇧🇪 teams in pre season and Plymouth Raiders played against a really tough French 🇫🇷 team CEP Lorient in pre season as well

You can't fault some peoples optimism can you? Raiders? Plymouth Raiders Cheshire Phoenix Sheffield Sharks and Surrey Scorchers must all play in arenas with a capacity of at least 2,000 people in order to compete in the Basketball Champions League or FIBA Europe Cup Currently the only BBL member teams that meet the tournaments requirements, apart from Leicester Riders, are Glasgow Rocks, London Lions, London City Royals, Newcastle Eagles and Worcester Wolves. Bristol Flyers and Manchester Giants have both begun work on suitable arenas I found this information out on Wikipedia

How many of those teams actually have first dibs on availability? (and Eagles when they move)

After Leicester, the next team likely to be able to compete in Europe is Newcastle. And then maybe London Lions. After that I don’t think any are realistically even close.

BBL teams cannot complete in Europe. We can maybe scrape a win in early rounds but we don't have the investment available to a lot of European clubs in these competitions. However there are some clubs headed in the right direction. As long as that building continues, then one day....maybe... Huge respect to the club's who have tried.
