The Morningside Arena is owned by the Leicester Riders Foundation. But managed by another limited company according to wiki LCSA limited ? Leicester Riders themselves are described as the main tenants. They are a separate company but obviously linked Complicated stuff But at the end of the day is I don't think Riders are to blame if you don't like the hot dogs any more! Which is the main thing! |

When I hear the word foundation, I usually associate it with charity and hence something to do with funding/taxes
I'm no accountant ... so I'm probably wrong ... know doubt the devil is in the details (legally speaking)

Peep behind the veil of incorporation and its obviously going to be the same people, I imagine the holding company LCSA have been created to limit personal liability to those involved (extremely sensible) and the Foundation that owns the arena will have been created in an attempt to access various pots of funding to be able to build the place (again, nothing wrong with that, in fact its probably the only way to roll).
Back on topic though - I'm bang up for this and bang up for watching Riders hopefully take the W. The towel's usual cynicism seems to have been abandoned in favour of a little optimism here and almost favouring the Riders so make what you will of that.
If Hampton's fit I'm expecting a great game and a positive result. If he isn't it will be slightly more uphill but more than doable.

I'm certainly not 'favouring' Riders as such. It will be a fair upset if we win. But it's the best chance we'll have to pinch one on the road. FWIW the most optimistic bookies are still only giving us about a 14% chance. I'd like to think it's a bit closer than that. Szolnoki Olaj (almost certainly the second best team in the group) are anything from a 4 to a 9% chance in Sardinia so god knows what price you'll be able to get on us for that fixture. Probably whatever you want. |

I have googled as suggested earlier in the thread and the last BBL team to win in Europe was in fact Brighton Bears back in 2003 who went 4-6 in the ULEB Cup
