Hoping for a Lions win here… looking at the ways things currently stand, the Cup is probably the easiest (not that anything is ever easy) route to Lions finally winning some allusive silverware this season.

On paper, Lions should win this easily ... but its the BBL Cup, so who knows ?

This commentator is the worst across any sport in any country on the planet...his catch phrase being "WHOOOAAA HOOOO". It wouldn't be so bad if he knew the names of the players! Can't believe they still use him!

Can't make it today so I have the rare pleasure of listening to the commentary!! Safer at home, I think there’s at lest two classless wolves fan going 😉 On a serious note, I’ve had to mute the commentators on the laptop.

I believe the idiot commentator's mispronunciations to be crass and perhaps even a touch classless...

CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU EVERY WEEK!!!!😁😉
Another win for Lions against Worcester, how much longer can they afford to keep Thoseby on the roster??
Didn't watch the second half but the score suggests that yet again we did enough to win without actually playing very well.

Here's the thing. You actually shot pretty well tonight, won with your 3's...shot 30% better than us in that regard.Factor in our two needless T's in the fourth and the refs actually calling some fouls on Freeman in the third and it could have been a very different outcome.I wouldn't be so smug though. We have 6 pro's at the moment, are rock bottom of the league and you scraped past us on Friday and tonight. I think our players were probably phased by playing in front of a crowd of 150 fans. CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU EVERY WEEK!!!!😁😉 Another win for Lions against Worcester, how much longer can they afford to keep Thoseby on the roster?? Completely agree with the Thoseby comment though...he is our weakest pro by some stretch...and our captain 😣 CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU, CAN WE PLAY YOU EVERY WEEK!!!!😁😉 Another win for Lions against Worcester, how much longer can they afford to keep Thoseby on the roster?? I'm glad Thoseby keeps proving week after week he's too good for the BBL.
And yes. That's sarcasm.

I'm certainly not feeling smug, we're not playing very well but we do seem to be doing enough to get the wins. Wolves need to get some defensive work done during training & once they've done that they'll start picking up some wins oh & replace Thoseby with a player who is good enough for the league! I'm not sure if it's the coaches fault that you're all over place defensively or if it's the recruitment process but something does Ned to change.

Considering the coach only recruited one of our current roster I'm reluctant to place much of the blame on him. I have been told by a couple of our players that scouting and 5 on 5 isn't up to standard though. We have barely plyed 5 on 5 in training due to number shortages. Apparently they get beasted but fitness can only get you so far! Here's the thing. One of the commentators on another game said Rocks play Eagles in the semi, does that mean Lions play Manchester? I didn’t think the draw had been confirmed...

First time I've been able to get to the Copper Box this season. Lions went small for much of this game. Bristol had two fouls in the first quarter but they didn't go back to him, playing only 13:47 in total and finishing with 3 fouls. Tabb 28 minutes / 2 fouls, Guede 18 minutes / 2 fouls. So in the paint it was basically Peel or Larkai for a lot of the game, who got 2 offensive rebounds between them because they usually had to get back ready on defence whenever a shot went up. It felt like Lions rely on Spencer and Robinson getting their own shots from the perimeter or driving in, which of course they're very good at but you need some other options. Those two players had 46 points and only 10 assists between them.
If this was the gameplan, it of course worked by virtue of Lions getting the W, but for the most part the scoreline was a lot closer than the 10-point lead it ended on.

Didn't watch the second half but the score suggests that yet again we did enough to win without actually playing very well. Yes, that’s a good summary of the game (again). We played good enough to win, but not good enough to install great confidence in our general performance. I think I’m correct in saying that Wolves never actually had the lead, but they were able to tie the game. It was all too close for comfort at times. But anyway, it’s a win and we’re in the semi-finals. And I still think this is probably our best opportunity at some silverware this season.
