So, the WBBL game Caledonia Pride vs Newcastle Eagles is currently being live streamed on Facebook. I've watched a few of Pride's games being live streamed, and the video quality is always great. Pride are unlikely to have a huge budget, and there is no commentary. However, the score is displayed onscreen. I've also watched FIBA live stream games on YouTube. Again, good quality and a reliable stream. Both platforms were free to view. Compare both to livebasketball.tv. A paid service, with commentary but very poor video quality. The service is also extremely unreliable. I'm struggling to see how the BBL can justify anyone paying for the service currently on offer. Is there a technical reason why the video quality is always so poor, and so unreliable. I've also said before, I don't understand why a commercial company is still using Flash to stream media content. Here's the stream if you want to judge for yourself. www.facebook.com/CaledoniaPride/videos/296021174311654/
